Hello Elyse Nicole I do leave the rice to soak countertop and I do cover it. If it’s too hot in the area where you will leave rice you can also refrigerated, but the rice will still be a little hard when you blend so you might have to blend a little longer. Thank you for watching & take care..

Does it have to be water? Can you use milk ? I’ve seen videos with milk and some with water. Does it matter?

When u speak the cinnamon stick and rice does the water have to be warm or cold?
It doesn’t rly matter but it’s better with room temperature water, it’s how I always do my horchatas :)

No I don’t pre wash the rice that extra Starch actually helps,but if you prefer to wash it it’s okay as well.
