Thanks sis!! That’s an idea!!! I was trying to keep it more on the minimalist side by not adding more color to the room but I’m considering if that’s what’s needed. 🥰💕🙏🏽❤️appreciate you
That would look great! Also, she used to have those framed macrame wall hangings in the bedroom, those would look great with dark frames to coordinate with the slats.
Hi Jasmine! Salut from the other side of the world 😊 I like the rafia option for being simple nonetheless with a subtle impact. As I mentioned before, I think what is making everything kinda difficult are the curtains which I would change to a dark brown shade to match the new corner wood panel and tone down the room. Since, you already mentioned keeping the curtains for now, Iam giving you 2 suggestions : 1. If you wish for a darker color wall art, have you thought about staining the rafia? 2. I would discard the other options and put a statement light on (sconce with beautiful shade), and lean more into a minimalist /breathing wall. Anyway, live with the space and go with what makes you happy rather than following a particular style. Your house must reflect you, your state of mind, energy therefore there's nothing wrong with mixed styles. A house should not be a showroom, at least I believe that. Cheers and season greetings 🎉
First I think you should look into Earthy Modern/Organic because that is really your current style.. not Bohemian or Midcentury. I think you should switch the placement of the pillows on the sofa so that the textured one is by the wood. I agree with the comment that you need a darker curtain, maybe even dark mustard like the throw, to offset the wood slats. Lastly, keep the raffia in the middle so that it doesn' t compete with the statement of the planks. I think the last two pieces make work at some point on either side of the window, balancing the dark woods. Most importantly, take your time! Live in the space and wait and see...God may bless you with something totally awesome. (check out society6 and desenio for artprints too) Thanks for reading. This is my longest comment ever! Merry Christmas!!!!
Thanks so much! My style is definitely Earthy/ Modern Organic but probably less of the Modern. Like most people I think we all blend a bunch of different styles together. I definitely still love some boho and Japandi accents. Like the throw pillows definitely give a bohemian touch and the slatted wall reminds me of Midcentury modern architecture or Japandi 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ Love all your ideas!!! Thank you for sharing🙌🏽💃🏽🥰 I probably won’t buy more curtains at this point but if I get an opportunity to switch them I would love to try darker ones! But I am forsure taking my time to find the right piece!
I like the raffia piece. Something about filling that square space with something not square (or less angular) just feels right. I do like the surprise option but not the color. It takes away from that gorge slatted wall.
I love the Rafa hoop BUT I do like what you ended the video with. I think adding a rub n buff or doing a two tone color would pull some colors in and blend them nicely. I also wonder about getting a slightly darker curtain to pull from the other side of the room. Balance it. Lovely as always! Whatever makes YOU happy in your home ❤️
The last option is definitely the best choice. And I love how your style is evolving. I'm overdue for change as well. But my pockets and energy levels said nope lol
I like your choice! Option 1 is good. It does fit, the color is good, mixing styles is fine. Its called curated. option 2 you could just use one of them. and they do actually look fine with the pillow. just bring in that rust with a vase somewhere in the room. Option 3 is a no. It is just too washed out. and not a cozy element. option 4 maybe if you space the 5 in. apart and make one higher than the other by 6 inches? or so. or hang them horizontally.
Hi Jasmine, definitely #4 because I think you need a darker color wall decor. Not the surprise one because on the wall it looks like debone fish 🐠 bones. I love your vlogs, your decor sense so no matter which one you pick I will like
Lolllll not dead fish bones 😂😂😂 Ahahaha not the look I was going for lol. But yeah I was thinking I needed something darker too! I’m going to play with it some more and see what I come up with. Thanks so much for the feedback and for being here sis💕🥰🙏🏽❤️
Hey girl, new to your channel just met you. I guess the algorithm thought I should see your video. With that said I like the leaf pattern that you found in your shed I think it was the best option and I like the way you hung it and I just want to tell you it’s not ghetto. It’s your artist eye 👁️ girl OWN IT 😜 I have it too LOL My only suggestion would be to bring in a dark brown or black. I’m not sure what color it actually ended up being because it looked like you mixed with gloss, but you need something dark on that sofa so either a throw or maybe a round knot pillow to compliment the color of that art piece. Chefs kiss 😚
Welcome sweet sis!!🙌🏽💕❤️ love that you said it’s an artistic eye 🙌🏽😂 I receive that!! Love the idea of adding something darker on the sofa 🫶🏽thank youuuuu for the feedback
Go for the monstera ! Vertical it’s a monstera delicsiosa! Come on Jas! Hold on I think you got something there, I like that good job ( never thought it you, girl)😂😂😂😂😂
Hallo dearest Jasmine! I'm a bit late to the video! I didn't see it when it came out yesterday! I wonder whether you've chosen already? I really like the art in option 2, but I'd put only one of them up (the left-hand one in the video, because it has less going on in it), or I like option 3 (the raffia circle) too - I think what I like about both of those is that they are darker toned than the wall and sofa, but not so dark that they compete with the wall slats. But I actually like all the options, so I'm not much of a help!! I'm sure you'll get it right for you in the end - and if you end up not loving any of them, I hope you find the one that makes your heart sing one day soon. I hope you'll have a fantastic Christmas full of joy and love, and I wish you all the very best for a happy, healthy and successful New Year! You deserve it: you ARE the love and light! lots of love, kxxx
Thanks so much!! I haven’t decided yet but I love that you gave me your reasonings for your choices!! So good!!! Thanks sis💕💕💕blessings on your Christmas and new year✨🙏🏽💕
I like the last one you left on best. But I still think one of you own paintings that you have done in a previous video when it’s like chalky cream/brownish color would look prefect up there. Either way good job
I'm clapping 👏🏾 for you. You'll know it when you know. It'll feel calm, peaceful, and balanced. So again, stop touching stuff. 🛑✋🏽 😅 Don't be overthinking it or overwhelmed... All the choices are nice. You gotta be able to let the room breathe. Who'saah...😊
Hi Jasmine!I like the panelling it gave something to the area, but what bothers me is the curtain behind the cabinet...look the video and think what else you could think❤❤❤Merry Christmas my beloved one❤
@@RebuildingHomeWithJasmineRae Yeah, someone in the comments mentioned to put chocolate curtains to give balance with the panel,it sounds good, but you know better...Iam sure you" ll find out what's best!!!
Thank you🥰🥰🥰 They’re wood so I didn’t actually paint the leaves, I wonder if I sanded them down and revealed more of the wood what that would look like? 🤷🏽♀️💕
I was initally all in for option 3 and feet lke 1 and 4 wouldn't go with the space BUT now, the last option might be the way to go. Although I like the simplicity of option 3 :)
I saw you had a lamp on the other side. How about swapping the lamp on the other side & use the art for the wall to mirror the slats. Put one of the prints on the wall with the mirror and put the other one on the wall with the window. I hope that make sense. 😂❤
Lovely options.. I personally think using one of the pictures from option two would look nice.. the last option is nice, but seems dark and heavy compared to your overall design.
Thanks I had it empty for a bit and it was bothering me. I think maybe if I added one more slat it would feel like empty space was intentional vs right now it doesn’t feel that way? Maybe it’s just me.
Hi Jasmine. Option 1 is too big. Option 2 is also too big or you should use just 1 piece. Option 3 I still like the simplicity. Option 4 is too dark and draws attention away from your slatted wall. The last option looks very nice but also too dark but perhaps you can paint the leaf in a color/colors that is reflected in your pillows. But you have to do what you feel good about, it's your house 😊 Have a nice weekend! 😊🇧🇪🌞
I like option 5 the best of them all. However I am struggling with the color of the piece. It’s not bad, it’s just not as good as it can be. I know you’ll find something better so it’s good for now!
Instead of an art piece, how about a floor lamp that hangs over the sofa. The shades can add the texture you are looking for. Leave that wall blank to give the brain & eye a break.
Hiiiiii Siiiiis…. I see you are at it again!!! lol All of your choices and reasoning are understood and relatable… Of course the last option is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, and probably the best choice of all… But I also like the 3rd option, but maybe change the frame color to the same color you used to touch up the leaf pieces. It would be a nice change should you want to switch it up a bit. Also… I think darker curtains would add a nice touch and balance things out even more. If you don’t want to purchase more curtains… Do you have some that maybe you could dye another color…? Just tossing a few thoughts your way! I like the scale of the last option. A little rub & buff could add a subtle metallic highlights on the raised parts.

Use wall tapestry with the colors in your pillow, for wall art.
