    Born in 1963, so I remember all this things. I went to see 'The Last Snows Of Spring' with a friend, all these women had boxes of tissues with them while us 15 year old girls wanted to throw up, it was emotional hype at it's worst.
    The adverts were so much more fun too. Nowadays every family is multi racial or same sex, not that I have a problem with that, but, we do need to remember that there are more hetero couples and families all the same race here. That Quality Street ad over Christmas was the most ridiculously woke ad ever, every single family or couple featured were either multi racial or gay. All for diversity, but, that does include traditional families too and that isn't a colour thing either.

    I remember Contac 400, and my mum asked me to get her one, and some water. I pulled it apart in front of her, like in the advert. "You don't do that"...she said! I got her another one.

    Armchair thriller intro used to terrify me as a kid! The last snows of spring cried buckets at that.

      Same, we watched Armchair Thriller and Tales of the Unexpected and I loved them as a child. I now watch them on YT! Also, yes, my mum and I both cried buckets at The Last Snows of Spring, I haven't seen that movie since back then and now want to watch it again.

    2:50 Something you didn't really see in 1970s adverts - the closing date for something. Mind you, the TV Times 7:24 puts an actual date on this being March 1978.

    Am I the only one that thinks 15 year old Lena Zavaroni and 14 year old Bonnie Langford being described - by a WOMAN - as "Teenage Bombshells" is creepy as hell?

    • @spencerhardy8667
      @spencerhardy8667 6 лет назад +1

      Not really. People were leaving school and getting jobs at that age back then, and it was only a generation after that age group was in the Home Guard or working the collieries.
