Lovely video as always, thanks for sharing. You certainly do have busy days, working, being parents and doing various boaty things, oh and fishing your washing out of the water and various other unexpected dramas! You choose to deal with all these things in a very calm way which is so lovely to see. Life is full of ups and downs, but it seems you have got the balance just right with your lifestyle. The place you moored was so tranquill with a beautiful sunset and scenery. Take care, looking forward to the next video.
Ah thank you! Hahah yes that wasn’t good😊 there’s always something unexpected, with life in general I think 😁. Thanks for the love and kindness as always :) take care xx
Ahhh yes never ever miss a puddle 😂 now those planks are perfect the more the merrier Matt that turning move was outstanding kudos to you and watching you jump on board well my friend that’s spectacular. I so enjoy the scenic shots lovely. Once again a wonderful and warm video. Thank you and again for accepting another long long comment( Sorry) on a personal note you do have something to celebrate it’s the three of you together that’s as good as it gets. May Peace Health and Happiness follow you and yours
Ah that’s so lovely and true, thank you for reminding us that every day is worth celebrating 😊. Lovely comment as always. And the same to you and yours xx
That mooring spot is known as the windy mile...spent the lockdown there...with a good friend..walking up the hill was a daily ritual as well walking into pewsey every three or four days.. keep chugging
I owned a Josher Mother for 25 years to go backwards for long distances I would put the engine in reverse at low tick over and steer the boat from front deck with long pole.
Thanks for sharing your lifestyle with us ,a real treat.I’m not sure about filming other boats .I’m sure the owners of those steamers probably wouldn’t mind but looking into someone’s home is a different matter.
Ah thank you! Yes exactly! We’ve had lots of people filming our boat/us when we’re moving or going through locks, and though we understand it’s a novelty … it’s also our home and our daughter, having strangers film you is odd especially your home and when you have young children 😦. Matt was appreciating the blue boats window for being so big haha! Take care:)
Those little chores that become absurdly complicated are one of my favorite parts of boat life. I live on a sailboat -- right now in Central America -- and getting water often becomes a few days worth of rowing to shore, exchanging empty 5 gallon water jugs for full ones carrying them back to the dinghy, rowing to the boat, emptying them into the tank and repeating until the boats tanks totaling 200 gallons are full. In one anchorage i wanted to get orange juice but the nearest town to get it was four miles upriver so i had to check the tides for the next day, get up early so i could row upriver with the flood, buy oranges, then return with the ebb. Then, of course, juice the oranges! But it is all part of what makes the boat a way of life rather than a shelter or a means of transportation.
It’s true! Wow that’s incredible! So cool to hear your journey of how you have to get water and even orange juice! It is a way of life! Thanks for your comment and insight to your boat life!

What a beautiful mooring spot that was. However many years you end up being boaters, you'll always have so many special memories of living this way during Nila's early years. I'm off to go and dance in a shop... #livelikenila 😁
You’re right, it’s such a gift to ourselves that we’ll have these videos too to look back on:) hahahah, exactly! Dance like no ones watching and live free😊!

lovely as always and very jealous of your lifestyle....why can't you swim...appreciate head above water, but I do that in the sea!
Ah thank you! Oh the canal is far too dirty, lots of diesel and wee probably and who knows what else, trolleys, lawnmowers all sorts 😁
Very enjoyable and calming thanks to you all 😊
