This video is not only a wonderfully useful teaching video, but also an awesome example of how family should pass on traditions and their love for one another!
I tried the recipe and served this Champurrado to friends and family and it has drawn so much accolade and celebration. My family has a new tradition that we have made part of our tradition. EVERYONE loves the video's lovely Grandmother's Champurrado. "The best I have ever had" is always in the conversation, credit is always conveyed and attributed to your family, may I convey a heart felt Thank You! -Dom
I’ve been using this video to make my champurrado for the past 3years and I’ve always loved your grandmas videos, I also learned to make arroz con leche through another one of her videos! & just now did I go on your page and see that this video is 10years old & I saw the “Remember me” tribute to your loved ones🥹 I definitely cried let’s just say that!🥹 . . may she rest in peace! She definitely left an imprint in my heart through her videos❤🥹🕊️🫶

For some reason people in Mexico are and were more creative with their food and drinks. Too many restaurants claim to serve authentic Mexican food and the food is horrible. I love to cook and make homemade drinks. Thumbs up to you and your abuela. Funny, but I'm sure she was used to cooking over an open wooden fire. Her recipe doesn't use measurements cause it's all from the heart; that's where people lose the taste. This recipe is priceless.
I remember making your grandma’s champurrado one year and feel like making it again. There are so many videos out there but bypassed all of them! Love it, RIP to your granny ❤️❤️❤️
I’m in tears watching this missing my abuela so much she’s very much alive just living in Mexico I haven’t seen her since I was 5 when I came to the US im 21 now I’m currently working on my immigration status and hopefully one day I can go down and see her and learn all her recipes to teach my kids and so on and keep my Mexican traditions in my family who is mixed with American loveeeee this video so much and your abuelita ❣️
Im obssessed with you and ur grandmother. I made your receipes all week amd my family is so happy. Sadly my grandma passed a year ago. And i regret with all my heart never having her teach me anything mexican. Gracias hermosas mujeres

Can I use piloncillo instead of lechera?
Nancy Marlene I use piloncillo instead, because that's the way I was taught to do it.
piloncillo instead of using what? I'm curious.
Jess Gomez instead of the sweetened condensed milk. The piloncillo would be the sweetener😊
For me piloncillo is better 🤗

is there an alternative way to substitute the masa...in case i dont find it at the store....maybe make it myself con maseca???
Selin Nevarez yes maseca works, make it first like masa and add a tiny pinch of salt. 🤗
Selin Nevarez i use vanilla flavor corn starch.
I use the maseca but my grandma taught me to toast the dry masa in a dry pan before she mixed it with water and then into the chocolate milk mixture. It makes the masa taste better. It kind of tasted like pinole. It was delicious.
