Fun fact: There’s a monster called a Basilisk that turns people into stone before eating them and its stomach acid is used for anti-petrification potions because, well, it doesn’t *actually* eat stone. If you get what I mean. Unlike Gorgans they’re not sapient and have the intelligence of a fairly cunning predator but I’m pretty sure it’s actually possible to domesticate them. A lot of people have died trying though. For the record this information is from DnD and not whatever mythology they come from so… make of that what you will.
I have canonically made a wizard with a basilisk and other beast farm who's tower is a moving thing with a couple other thing attached namely a basilisk farm where their domesticated by nature and are also plump, funny thing is he doesn't even know where the farm came from as it just popped with the tower one time, it had a habit randomly having things become attached to it or lose it, it has only three things permanently attached to it, the basilisk and other farm, the mine that is being manned by skeletons that he has no genuine control over who just dump either rocks, quartz, sometimes gems, sometimes gold, sometimes treasures every 3 days into a holding device's that all have symbols and pics on em depending on what is being used to store what and a single small temple focused on all the local gods of the country, it was really fun to play with as every new day that we were in the tower I had to roll a 100 sided die which will then be used to a number which will teleport the tower to certain places around the country like rolling a 1 would put you near the capital of the country or a 26 which puts you near a swamp literally called "murder" mostly cause a corpse of a black dragon was found there alongside other horrible things and so murder or 100 which put the tower in the middle of a enchanted lake at completely random.... that one is never fun as it force my wizard or one of the party members to deal with either a water nympth or a magical lady of the lake we were in, it was fun to have as its a tower that sometimes gets things at random which was decided that every 4 or 7 days that passes I would roll both the 100 sided die and three 4 sided die, two d20's and a single d10, then you add up the number like say 1 4 and two 3's = 10 + one 15 and one 12 = 37 + 10 = 47 which then you would get something 47 for my dm meant a another Temple but dedicated to dark gods right next to the normal good aligned gods temple, basically the idea of the tower was built on "rule of cool" and slowly turned into a case of "NO BODY SAID THERE BE MATH" it got confusing but it was both helpful and unhelpful at times as its competently up to luck, so if anyone wants to use this thing that was used for a short campaign you can but beware it involved luck and math
Well greek mythology mentions their poison is enough to kill a grown elephant or hundreds of men so I could see their poison being able to undo pertrification and their stomach acid too having to be able to turn something back into a biological being instead of stone
not the first time i’ve heard a script like this (being medusas favorite statue) but having the listener know medusa beforehand is new along with the accidental stoneification
Idk why but the idea of the partner getting turned to stone on a regular basis because they always forget about the blindfold because they’re excited to see them sounds cute to me
So.... Since reflections don't cause petrification... gorgons from the Renaissance onward could potentially wear head-mounted eyewear containing a set of mirrors... Although I feel like ancient Greek natural philosophers might be able to figure something out...
Predator: log entry 023 or 24 I forgot and I’m not looking back, we got a gorgon that’s nice to see though Greek history was never really a favorite of mine the three brothers argued to much and it always gave me a headache when dealing with their spawn just blegh, back to the gorgon it makes since to cover the eyes of the person so they aren’t effected but that is such a counterproductive way to do it might just be the inner chemist inside me screaming but you could always make a potion to temporary negate the effect of a gorgon or if you want to permanently deal with the problem…. Eat the eye of a Gorgon that is primarily where their curse is held find some other poor Gorgon rip its eye out eat it and your set but again that’s just a suggestion end of- [glass breaks in the distance] Predator: oh for the love of ⬧︎♒︎◆︎⧫︎ ⧫︎♒︎♏︎ ♐︎◆︎♍︎🙵 ◆︎◻︎!
How Medusa expected me to look like in stone: 🗿
How i would actually look like in stone: 🪨
LMAO yes pls omg that's amazing ^^
Accidents happen. As long as she can fix this, all is forgiven.
Judging from her reaction this isn't even the first time, so I think we'll be fine.
She can easily fix this
It is indeed very common, I think she gets spooked and accidentally opens her eyes frequently!

Oh that is interesting, and perhaps that is one of the ingredients. Who knows..

*In my mind while trapped in stone* This gives new meaning to the phrase “rock hard”😂😂 Guess you can just call me “the rock” now my sweet snake😂😂
LMAO That is amazing ^^
I guess being a statue makes me look pretty chiseled. Great audio Lapide I enjoyed myself.
Keep up your great work
will do!
Truly lovely
not the first time i’ve heard a script like this (being medusas favorite statue) but having the listener know medusa beforehand is new along with the accidental stoneification
OH that is interesting, I am glad you enjoyed it and I am definitely going to look for the statue thing ^^
Clever concept!
Thank you, though it is not mine! It is someone in my discord server who made this!
Accidents happen and you can learn from you're mistakes
Exactly, you can only learn by making mistakes
Just a little oopsie doodle- 😂
"There are no mistakes. Only happy accidents"
I may not be stone but I'm still rock hard
I'm so sorry but the joke was RIGHT there
I guess we need more potion
Thanks keep up the good work
Thanks, will do!

It is an endearing thought yes
She so cute
Ikr! She really is ^^

Hmm, that would be interesting. Sadly, it seems that they haven't been able to do so, yet.
nice
Thank you ^^

Predator: oh for the love of ⬧︎♒︎◆︎⧫︎ ⧫︎♒︎♏︎ ♐︎◆︎♍︎🙵 ◆︎◻︎!
Interesting information, very interesting information indeed!
Also what is going on?
Unknown: just a break in by some poor unfortunate soul
Predator in the distance: I’M GOING TO GOUGE YOUR EYES OUT!
Unknown: yep a poor soul indeed
I really need to remind myself to get a blindfold myself
Oh?? Why you?
@ in case I want to surprise a gorgon without turning into stone
Welp talk about a predicament
Yes, quite the complicated one at that
I really like this one
I am glad you enjoy it!
I always had a preference for Rock-type Pokémon, so I am entirely fine with this outcome.
LMAO turn into pokemon
wouldn't the first time she's made me rock solid 😏
sorry terrible joke, i couldn't resist 😂
Definitely not, she is easily spooked XD
Not the first time there’s been tension between me and a gorgon…… ask if you want but I wouldn’t recommend
... I think i'll take your advice
💚🐍💚
Snek~
Mmmmm I like this.... Being marble feels so... _immaculate...._
I imagine it does feel, special
