Thanks for the review, Techne! Also yeah if you are ok with ZA12 then it is just a size thing. Xtrfy did a great job on the wireless. Can't say I had much to do with it other than designing the original shape and asking for a back as low as possible to be included. So huge credit to them for putting out such an awesome mouse!
When I first held this mouse, I thought it was too small and awkward. I would consider myself a mid tier FPS gamer. However, after downloading Kovaak aim trainer and using it for a few days. Man, my aim has never been better. This mouse teaches you how to use fingertip grip. It is amazing. Never had such a quality mouse. You just have to spend real time learning to use it. This mouse is like fine wine, it gets better and better with time. Can’t overstate how nice this mouse is. This mouse will literally make you aim better. It did for me.

First of all apologies for putting my message here but it's the latest video and I thought I might have more of a chance of getting a reply here. Secondly, this is to do with gaming headsets, but sidetone in particular. Now I know a lot of reviewers are sponsored by the headphone brands so none of them talk about sidetone, in great detail anyway. I get the feeling it's because every reviewer knows it doesn't work. This has been my problem, purchasing the Corsair HS80 after The Techne's great review but then finding out that sidetone doesn't work. Then I send those back and buy a pair of Razer Blackshark V2 Pro's and guess what - exact same problem. Then I start typing in the sidetone issue into Google for other headsets before making further purchases and guess what, yup doesn't work for any set of gaming headphones, well wireless anyway. I mean it works but it's just too quiet, and as soon as you have other audio ie a game, then you don't hear yourself at all. I think having the ability to monitor yourself is damn important and I feel like it's one of the most important things to have. Why else do radio DJs have it? Why do podcasters have it? Why does anybody who records or broadcasts/streams their voice have it?? Reviewers are sponsored therefore don't talk about major flaws - I feel. Surely having sidetone is one of the most important features, but it just doesn't work and I think someone needs to talk about the subject because headphone brands are getting away with it and reviewers are in a way, misleading buyers by not talking about the fact that sidetone is not fit for purpose. So please The Techne, can you address the subject?
Hey man, sorry I missed your comment before. Now as for sidetone, or any feature for that matter, the importance will differ from person to person. Like myself I love s BT, too many they could care less, and often say why pay extra for it. Same with a mic on a headset, I never use them, I test them but again never use them, I use free standing mics. So I wouldn't say people are sponsored due to not testing or going into detail abort a feature/function, but maybe just lack of interest for that person. Now more on sidetone, a great feature yes, mildly tested on my part, but yes tested. The thing with many headsets, is they have to be adjusted in the software, and some don't save if the software isn't opened or active, 2nd if on console you also need to adjust it in the console settings as well as the headset. I will make it a point to look into side tone a bit more in my coverage from here on out though. Thanks again for your support and great comment.
@@TheTechne Thanks for your reply, really appreciate it! And you're the only one who might be able to shed some light on this issue, and it is an issue in a few forums due to it not working correctly. So in my testing on my PC, I did everything as per instructions including to leave the software open while trying to adjust. Sidetone does work, however it's extremely quiet, then when you open a game you don't hear yourself trying to talk to your friends at all and can end up talking with a raised voice which I don't want. I searched Google and found the Corsair forum for the HS80's and boy oh boy are there people with the same issue. And the issue seems to go back to 2020 with very little input from Corsair. The same goes for the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro's - in fact the issue is exactly the same almost as if they're all the same manufacturers, just putting their products out with different skins. Then as previously mentioned, looking up the Arctis 7 has people complaining about the same thing although I cannot really comment on this as I didn't risk buying a pair. The issue I have is that these companies are seemingly putting out headphones with features that really don't work as you'd expect them to. I consider myself pretty technologically minded so I tried everything, I even tried to route the mic through Voicemeeter as a workaround but the delay was off-putting. Now I think this delay is why most people don't want the feedback, if sidetone actually worked properly then there is no delay which means it is not off-putting. In the end I returned both pairs of headphones even though I loved the comfort of the Blackshark V2 Pro's and bought the cheap Blackshark V2X. I tell you what, the audio quality of the V2X is the same as the Pro's and the mic quality is great too, slightly brighter with less bass than the Pro's but this is easily configured with a touch of EQ in Voicemeeter to sound the same. I now have mic monitoring via my Yamaha AG03 audio interface as the Blackshark V2X is Analogue only. It seems that I'm unable to find a pair of wireless headphones that offer really good mic monitoring! And I mean really good, hearing my voice over my game audio. Moral of the story is that I originally wanted a pair of good, comfortable wireless headphones that offered comfort and mic monitoring so that I didn't have to use my main mic for gaming as it's nice not to have it in front of me for a change, but along the way have discovered a feature that all of these companies seem to offer that actually doesn't work well enough to use and it's not just me. Thanks again for your previous reply and great quality videos, I really hope you can look into this!

MZ1 Wireless owner since 5 days here (hands 18 x 10 cm, relaxed fingertip with a tiny bit of my palm touching the right side of the mouse), this mouse is insane i just cant go back to my one and half years old GPX Superlight, it's just the perfect mouse for me. I just dont like the new back shell with my grip style but for someone who wants to have all his fingers sticking to the mouse I think the new back shell is a better choice and for those who prefer claw grip or relaxed fingertip like me the OG shell is god tier, recoil control in apex feels so natural, i instantly felt an improvement with the flatline and a 3x.
Im hoping we see more mice w/ higher polling rates next year. Theres still somehwhat a lack of 2/4/8 khz mice on the market and it really seems like mice using those micro controllers do benefit from even further reduced latency even in wired application.
RJN uses a 1-2-2 Claw-Palm grip, and that's what the low form is designed for, not fingertip. Seeing as you like the Deathadder V3 you probably have a bigger profile hand, combined with the fingertip grip, it makes sense this didn't work out for you.
The wired version is one of the best mice I've ever used and I'm a claw gripper. The hump fits perfectly in my palm and definitely doesn't feel wrong. Love the scalloped mouse 1 & 2 too and I have medium hands. I ended changing to a Superlight though, as I just couldn't work as well as game with this mouse. I use the MZ1 wireless and am super happy with it...the viper was my first "flat" mouse and love it but it's just a little too long. I moved to the model o- and mained that for a long time. LETS GO!! Jump on a rocket like a ninja? I’ve went back and forth on buying this mouse for so long. Can’t decide. Currently my main is starlight 12 medium. I also just bought the TenZ one lol. With the pulsar x2 on the way I’m going to go broke if I buy all these lol
lol, the med starlight is still to small for me, lol
@@TheTechne lol yea it’s not very big and it’s pretty flat. I assumed they’d eventually come out with a Large. According to rocket jump ninjas mouse search by hand size, I should use the MZ1 or the starlight small. I didn’t enjoy the starlight small and haven’t tried the MZ1. Have you ever used his mouse search?
