Revan: so you got married Anakin: no… (sigh) yes Revan: nice, you fear loss again Skywalker. Use that fear to be better, to be stronger. If you got to kill then kill. If you have to destroy a world to send a message to those who seek to hurt you and your loved one bring destruction to them.
Darth Revan definitely, but end of KOTOR Revan Redeemed was a lot better. I know people claim that "Gray Jedi" aren't a thing, but I'd say he was as close as you could get. Then SWTOR ruined it all. Funny how that keeps happening...😔
The Gray Jedi concept makes much more sense if you tie it to the "Dawn of the Jedi" novels. Those are set in the very ancient times before the founding of the Old Republic, and before the Jedi Order existed. The Gray Jedi can then be viewed as a throwback to the ancient Je'daii Order (of the Core planet Tython from 25,783 BBY to 25,783 BBY). The Je'daii Order successfully achieved balance between the light and dark sides of the Force for over 10,000 years, before dividing in a schism (the Force War) between those who fell to the dark side and those who shunned the dark and embraced only the light.
@@LiftandCoa : Probably because Grey Jedi aren’t officially canon, since Disney decided that the Star Wars Expanded Universe (EU) wasn’t canon anymore and called it Legends. But Disney did that just so they could steal ideas from the EU and claim them as their own without having to pay royalties to the EU authors and creators. So not a creative reason, just sheer greed. Which is why Disney canon isn’t canon to me.
@@timonsolus the Novel Into the void and the Dark Horse Comics are a beautifully done timeline for the lost era of Star Wars, shame disney executives can not understand or see that.
The reason why "grey Jedi" are not a thing is because it's physically IMPOSSIBLE to balance both light and dark side simultaneously everyone who has tried to attempt this has gone literally insane look at revan his soul was literally split in 2 due to this, look at Abeloth (the mother) who drank and bathed in both the light and Dark side nexus's became a literal monstrosity. The closest person one gets to a "grey Jedi" would be people like Qui-Gon (or in some cases Rhom kota, Kyle Katarn, ext.) as he does not follow the council's will/"Normal" Jedi protocol (AKA not drinking on the collective dogmatic narrow-minded views of the Jedi council's Kool-Aid), and mainly follows the living force while also allowing emotions while not being consumed by them.
Revan, walked both sides, Revan was the only Master fully capable of training him. Understand I do not argue just to argue I am an amateur Old Republic Archivist, I have all the info released under Lucas' era, Revan could teach Anakin how to control it. actually Revan faced his own version of Palpatine, he stood against Tenebrea aka VIshitiate and Valkorian, Revan could teach him how to walk both worlds. I do appreciate your intent but certain matters you have left out concerning Revan's lore, it happens there is a lot of information to gather from Novels, video games and Dark Horse comics, if you wish to find issues with Revan and Malak, please do let me know I may be able to guide you in the right direction but do not try to buy the comics unless you have some serious bank, those issues delving into the Old Republic run high in resell value.
i feel like revan would be able to easily see tru palpatines bs altho anakin would be a dream come true for vitiate. he would have the strongest vessel he could possibly obtain without any difficulty as anakins mental defenses are weak

Anakin: Master... what?
revan: You heard me, now hop, go on.
And that is exactly what Anakin did!
People forget that Revan was a full blown Psychopath and a ruthless Mass Murderer with a FAR bigger Bodycount than both Vader and Sidious combined

How can people claim Grey Jedi aren't a thing when they have literally being discussed IN lore and straight up named like that? 💀
