The machine is big, so large rounds don't even seem that big in comparison, but they are huge. It's normal, same thing happens with ones regular tree services use, just that they can only shred 8 or 10 inches and this one has an opening of over 4 feet.

Sounds as if the cutter RPM is too slow, the sound should be a continuous sound not the interrupted sound as can be heard on this video.
