The fact that the plank game makes them more worried about dropping their violins than about falling to their deaths proves that they are pro musicians. 😆
Because one is a real possibility (dropping the violin on the floor) and the other isn’t (falling to their deaths).
It’s a game so they dont worry about their life being in danger and the violin is more important because it has more value than the game
But when they are facing the plank game in real life they would worry about their life and not worry about the violin
For real those professional level musical instruments are EXPENSIVE

I'm about to open a can of worms... if you have actual clinical anxiety, beta blockers can make your life a lot easier. I know a lot of performers say a lot of negative things about them, but if you have ACTUAL anxiety, they can make it so is actually able to overcome crippling issues, and play. If someone doesn't understand this, and thinks that someone just needs to "perform more" or "eat a banana", it means that they have never experienced actual clinical anxiety. i hope this is not the issue for you, but it's something to consider, if you've tried all else, and still cannot overcome it. Cheers.

Thank you, Twoset, for covering a video based around performance anxiety. I just last night had to play in the biggest concert our school has every year, the last ones before the year 12’s leave, and we played part of the first movement of summer. My performance anxiety went absolutely through the roof. Like stupidly high. Even minutes after the performance my heart rate was 30-40 above average. I’m trying to find a way to improve my performance anxiety before we have to perform at QPAC…. That’ll be fun. I guess I just need to practice more. Get my 40 hours in!
Go to a simular place and practise the new high-in-the-air-violin-game. It will cure you for good!
Jokes aside, hope you find a way to control and maybe get rid of your performance anxiety.

I doubt this will help but if you are a decent player then you will do well in the concert. Plus at high school most people barely care if you mess up. Im not saying go ply the wrong song or sum, but your parents are going to sue the school or disown you cause you played e flat instead of e natural.

Umm... if you're standing in the same room as Tchaikovsky and Liszt, that's not horror. That's literally my dream come true.
I feel like, not only is this entertaining, but it also gives an extreme demonstration of their older videos about musicality as well as mindset affecting quality, i. e. the difference in sound between nervous, anticipatory, and terrified. It shows how the different emotions are reflected in their tone, but also how those emotions affect their tone.

Actually this gave me an idea. If someone comes up with a VR program that just show a large, formal audience in an auditorium attentively watching you while you are performing on stage that may help some overcome performance anxiety.
That is genius! If it's not already made, you should totally try to go somewhere with that idea, for real! Don't know how, but it's such a cool idea. I sincerely believe that idea could have helped me during my worst stage fright years, I think it would be awesome to have a VR game that helps with something like that.
