- The video discusses about why Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2022 is awarded to Carolyn R. Bertozzi, Morten Meldel and K. Barry Sharpless for their development in Click Chemistry and Bioorthogonal Chemistry, what is so important and unique about. In the video we will try to understand from very simpler perspective about the complete mechanism and importance of click chemistry & bioorthogonal chemistry and how it is so useful to the humankind.

The most incredible thing about Karl Barry Sharpless winning the Nobel this week isn't the work he won it for, but the fact that when he won a previous Nobel 21 years ago he spoke about what his next Nobel prize would be about.
im an upsc aspirant , i didnt get this topic from anywhere else , u taught it in very holistical manner . thank u so much
The video and audio quality ❣️
I never thought that i could ever understand this, thanks a lot for such a clear and crisp explaination👍🏻
Wonderful! Able to explain to a layman, with so clarity. Really commendable.
KBS was just starting up as a prof at MIT when I was a grad student. He had 6 grad students at the time and was investigating organo selenium chemistry.
Explained in calm, composed manner with simplicity. Thanks a lot. :)
A big thankyou to you. Was finding difficulty to understand but ur teaching make me it so simple. Power to u
Thank you sir for presenting the whole thing so briefly and nicely ☺☺👍👍
Thank you so much sir for enlightening us with your profound knowledge
On point explanation and presentation 😊 now m gonna share it
Waaooo Sir...😍😍👏🏻Nice explanation 👌🏻👌🏻 your way of explaining things is just awesome 🥳🥰
Thank you so much for explaining. You did this previous year also with Bemjamin list and david. 🙂🙂🙂
beautiful explanation. thank you
Thanks for such an easy and detailed but relevant explanation.
Thank u sir for this informative video
Thank you sir for your neat and clear explanation 🙂
Thanks for the nice presentation of click chemistry and Bioorthogonal chemistry. The following are the doubts.
1. Click chemistry involving copper to link azide and alkenes is fine in non biological system
2. Whereas in physiological system glycan get bound to azide. Later reactive strained alkenes may react any molecule, why alone to glycan coupled azide in a living system.
3. Does azide bind to only glycan. Does it not bind to protein or nucleic acid or lipids.
4. Is it similar to coupling a fluorescent dye or an enzyme to an antibody in ELIISA . Or real time PCR.
Pl clarify
From my knowledge, I can clarify the point 3 that they've done a lot of experiments and found that every time the azide only bind to glycan due to some biological specificity based on Lock & key theory.
Simple and excellent explanation 👏
Very nicely explained.. Thank you so much.
thank you sir for details 😌
Thank you sir for the information ☺️
Thank you so much for explaining so well
No doubt because of awesome explanation ❣️
Wonderful analysis Bhaiya 👏👏
Thankyou for the explanation.
Thank you so much sir. Verybeautiful explanation, even not being science student i understood it very well.
Thank you for your explanation.
Excellent presentation .
Great simple explaination sir
This video is a most incredible for people. Unbelievable
Good explanation sir 🙏🏻
In my Project for MSc : RAFT polymerization of Methyl(Meth Acrylate) and Butyl Acrylate I came across this term "Click Chemistry" I think its coupling of reaction.
I remember seeing this 10 years ago and knew it was going to groundbreaking
Amazing explanation 👏👏👏
Very nice explanation 👌 👍 👏
Thank you so much sir ❤️😍🙏
Great analysis
very nice explanation sir.
Beautiful analysis sir
Nice explanation 👍👍👍
Great explaination
Supper explanation sir 👏
Excellent explained
Okay okay.
Esy explanation sir, thank you
super sir great explanation thank you
Explanation ✨👍
Sir please make video series of all the Nobel prizes achieved till date in chemistry
Very well explained
Thank you Sir
Nice explanation🤩
Thank you sir 🥰
Thank you sir..
Great sir
Sufex click reaction is another type of click reaction given by Sharpless team.
And they say this reaction is a sleeping beauty. Much more useful in the near future
Thank you soo much sir
Thnkew sr🙂
Quite interesting
Thank you sir :)
Great 👍
great💐
Bhaiya Mazza aa gya ...ur awsm
😊✌️
Thanks sir
Thank you ❤️
Wonderful analysis 👏
Thank you bhaiyya
Thank you
Keep up...
hmmm i don't understand how combining two molecules together is different from lets say, monomers turning into polymers? is it that useful because you can stick azide and alkyne to *other* molecules that don't easily combine to get those attached?
proud for our department only one in India Amity institute of click chemistry and research studies
Nice explanation brother. Chummi
Good
Sir can u make a video about research paper publish in India
Explain orthogonal concept in reaction
Good,
Application plz sir for this click chemistry in other things
Lots of ❤️ bhaiya
💙
Sir on which platform u are teaching now
Is Cu+ working as a buckle same as a catalyst? Or is it being used up in the reaction?
Acting as a catalyst
Sir Research papers plz.
❣️❣️❣️❣️
Sir eski pdf ho koi to defo
First view 😁
After covering the cell membrane then What is the next step? I mean what is the work of that dye ? Plz reply
The dye tags the cell. If there's any spot that's colourless, that's the infected cell. Depending upon properties of dye or bacteria the other way around is also possible.
Beautiful explanation... By the way how did you injure your finger sir
Thank you...
Regarding finger, all thanks to my Kittens 😂
@@AllBoutChemistry oh😅they're the naughtiest ones..
@@adityapatnaik8720 yes 😂😂😂
@@AllBoutChemistry and you can't scold them as they're cute ❤
@@adityapatnaik8720 true... 😁
Sir why copper 1 was used instead of copper2??
In the case of molecules having functional groups with oxygen, Cu2+ oxidises the groups and destroys the molecules and in bio systems, protiens are the molecules that are used in such reactions, their native structure and function gets destroyed.
Click chemistry is not only about copper catalyst.....other metal catalyst can also be used in chemistry.....this statement is clearly wrong that click chemistry cannot be used in biological system... I myself doing my PhD in click chemistry
Hey can u help me to know click chemistry?
He never said click cannot be used in bio systems plus he never said click is about Cu catalyst.
Sir UOH PhD entrance admit Card kab aiga...???
Is week
Sir hindi mai bhi bol sakta ho na
🤍🩵
BHAI HINDI ME BOLO
Thank you sir 😍
Well explained
Thank you
Thank you sir
Thank you sir
