As a Link main I feel it's best to co main both Link and YL. YL can fare better against the faster characters that can overwhelm Link. Just my opinion

That‘s two completely different characters though so I don‘t see why you should secondary Young Link specifically. Young Link is fine as a secondary but there are definitely better secondaries to pick up for Link
