My heart goes to all those families hope they're able to rebuild and very heart felt for their lost pets so sad.
My heart does not go out to these people because they chose to live in this area knowing the risks. People need to start taking responsibility for there own actions.

Only 54 acres and all that destruction. One family's son rushed in and alerted his older brother there was a fire - when they rushed outside behind their house they saw flames quickly spreading out from a power pole behind another house in the neighborhood, according to one news report.
That's what happens when you build a bunch of houses in a dry forest

If you rebuild go with Concrete and stucco over the inside framing and clay, ceramic roof. Build a pool for ready water availability and hoses and pumps for an emergency.

The California home ownership is a Russian roulette. Fire , earthquake and peaceful protests can destroy anyone's dream home in no time; but it will take forever to recover insurance money and rebuild.

What are your houses made of? Brick walls and slate or tiled roofs do not burn, yet there is nothing left. It is as if the entire house has zero brick and is all wood with paper thin walls, I bet the heating bill was astronomical when you have such thin wood walls.

I wonder how that fire got started? That's the second fire on little mountain in the last 10 days. Such a beautiful area, wish I could bought up there! I came out my garage and smelled smoke and was wondering what was on fire, little mountain again? That's the only part I don't like about living in a hillside home. Hope re building in the works. I grew up on that street, there’s been dozens of fires on that hill throughout the last 30yrs and no house has never burned down until now. I appreciate the Fire Dept. but they weren’t prepared and late to the scene, maybe underfunded.

This is California each year the nation ( including California ) hear about extreme wild fires, So if your home was destroyed by a wild fire who is to blame, look in the mirror and you will see the answer. Anyone who lives in California is at risk each and every day

She did mention her dogs. She mentioned her dogs towards the very end she said that all three of her dogs were inside the home when I guess her and her husband were gone and she said it hurts me to think about how they they went.
