I have just bought theTwoTrees TS2 10W diode laser, this is my first diode laser and I have never used or seen Lightburn software. I have downloaded and installed Lightburn, I am using the free version for the first 30 days before I purchase the license. When I connect both the TS2 and my Macbook my screen looks nothing like the screens of the other tutorials I have been watching. I have not got a clue how to focus the laser, remember I have never used this software before. I cannot find a decent tutorial on how to connect my laser or use the Lightburn software. It is obvious that you know what you are talking about, but I have never touched or operated one.
Start here - www.mediafire.com/folder/jf3wo75an9d2m#h8warxmlg8cwj . That's the latest firmware files for the TS2. In there you'll find a software / Lightburn / configuration folder. That'll add the appropriate commands to your Lightburn install for it to support the autofocus. Then you'll find a set of buttons on the Console tab, which correspond to either lifting the Z-axis, or focussing for different thicknesses, such as ENGRAVE 3MM. Click that, it'll set the right height.
I am a total newby to lasers, but watched your youtube video and those by other others, before buying the Twotrees TS2 10w laser. I have enjoyed reasonable success with engraving, but I have just not been able to cut out anything at all. I have carefully noted from the videos the different speed/power relationships that will affect your result, but, even using the manufacturers settings, my laser refuses to cut. It will not even cut through card. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong, and I have no recourse to help. One other issue that I have not been able to work out is manual focusing. Can this only be done using the software that comes with the kit. I do hope you can help me. Hope for more of your videos on this machine. Brian Haywood Morecambe UK
We won't have more videos, but do you see a laser light being emitted at all? It could be that your laser module isn't connected to power - the software wouldn't know, and would just move the head around thinking it was working fine. Do you still haev the manual to check through the cable connections?
Thanks for your reply,. As far as I can see, all cables are connected, and I am engraving ok. It just doesn't make any sense if you are able to engrave designs using several layers of different power and speed, but cannot cut a design using various powers and speeds.@@MakeUseOf
I saw your video today; you made it for a long time ago but it is very interesting to me. Did you try the offline-options of this machine? Could you make a video about this function? Have a nice day!
Thanks for video. What’s your favorite engraver. Im looking for something easy and well built. This one concerns me where you said that it’s hard to put something in an exact spot.
Please tell me if it is possible to connect a computer or laptop via wi-fi to this engraver, or only through a smartphone? I tried to connect using the IP address (through which I log in from the smartphone application) from the computer, but nothing happened (the computer is connected via a LAN cable to a Wi-Fi router) or does the computer only connect via usb?
"Do you expect me to talk?" "No, Mr. bond. I expect you hold your bloody horses and shut your trap while I set the thickness of the material I want to cut." Great review, as always.
Do you know that you are promoting a product from a company with devious practice. TS2 model is SOLD OUT but you can still go to their website and buy it without notification of the situation or notifying you that your shipping time will be significant affected, but your credit card will be immediately charge for it.

Currently, I'm using the XTool M1, which has a precise camera to position your work. - www.makeuseof.com/xtool-m1-review/

I couldn't get Wi-Fi working, and even when it does, it only works with the smartphone app. Just use USB.
