Great work on this costume, I love the details like making it cap sleeves to maintain the silhouetter!
Your intro/commentary outfit is also just so so cute!
And maaaaan I had really similar problems with enlarging the bust of a corset pattern and it ending up tooooo full like that!

Ive been working on a Historical version of Emily’s dress and I based it in the early 1880s (circa 1882) when the princess line or natural form era silhouette was popular since I thought that her mother had been married again, probably 1875 as it was the start of the first bustles, and as marriage for money and finances will secure a woman in society after the appropriate time of mourning had passed and I thought her mother had let her wear her wedding dress as a Something Borrowed and it would have been altered to match the current fashions of the time. Corpse Bride is set in 1898-1900 as there are still the slight leg of mutton sleeves and the large brimmed hats were the fashions. Victoria (because of her financial situation) would be wearing an earlier 1890s style but altered for the fashionable period since fashion was constantly changing every few seasons. I love how you set Emily’s dress in the 1840s which wouldve made sense since her mother probably married her father back then and then remarried if her first husband had passed away and her new husband was filthy rich (the line from the show “the family jewels and a satchel of gold) and she had to be married again and she was dressed in the latest fashions of 1875. I had thought of this time line and I thought that it would’ve made sense in a way that would put Emily’s dress in a different time as Victoria. The waist of her wedding dress is correct as it was often on the hips as the Natural Form era was a rather slender silhouette and the shoulders or the collar of the dress was ripped off because there were probably some precious stones on it hence why theyre so jagged looking. Great job on this dress!!

There was a Mini Dark Age during that time. It's also the age when Gothic fashion actually started. It was also the age of modern fashion.

You are a cute witch, but if you are doing a skeleton bride then the face paint of a skull would be the thing to see in the final part of the video.
