the constant misses with quetz is why i hate that birb.
This. It has a HORRENDOUS hit box ( I had a campto take me down half health once because I couldn’t peck it with this giant bird and couldn’t barrel roll into it because they removed its dmg to grounded opponents-for whatever reason). It needs a grab-like hatz-and improved hit box. I just stopped playing this game because its so full of imbalances and seems to play more like some dino-pvp game, rather than a dino survival. I’ll play mortal kombat if I want a fighting game..
Gave the modded servers a try and I'll be honest I wish quetz was in the offical game servers.

Methinks quetz wasnt a power flyer(flying on its own power or strength), i think its a glider that catches wind updrafts to take flight and repeat the process to keep aloft, like how modern day glider planes work.
They also think quetz lives beside beaches/cliffs cos theres alot of wind updrafts there, like albatrosses(albatrosses cant fly on their own, they need to catch wind updraft on their wings as they run forward to take off).

very cool but i hate quetz and you deserved to be fought off that ano by those pachys. seriously a 4v1 and then you can just move on and heal in a tree for free literally untouchable. just don't like it for how risk free it is. any smart quetz won't stay on the ground when low
have to disagree, the only attacks they can actually do in the air is a barrel roll, which by the way is incredibly weak and takes at least 10 minutes for even the smallest of things. An example would be how long it took a long quetz to drain down me and another freshly spawned giga while only attacking in the air. it's not NOT risky. Stam drain in the air is risky, you can barely fight anything above a utah, ect ect. It's meant to be the apex of the sky, not a glorified version of thal. The other risks of quetz are being bone broke on ground, plus the low regen rate. If you are having trouble dealing with quetz I would say hold out until their stam is gone and get the fuck outa there. Another way is to run to that forest right next to GP and hide in the brush, they can't see you there. I agree It's annoying but risk free isn't the right word to use ngl.
It was risk free before the peck change, now quetz is a glorified thal in the air with more than decent damage on the ground.
Only issue is it has no hp, so any mid tier can simply tail whip you away with ease. So yeah, now quetz is very very veeeery much nerfed.
The nerf was needed, i agree. But at least now give it some more hp when on the ground, otherwise now quetz is essentially, as said above, a glorified thal.
@@frank2510 Oh man it got changed so it can't peck in the air anymore??? That's actually sick I take back my statement. My problem was like 1 quetz could take down things much larger than them by pecking at blind spots on their targets, like an Argen's back. I didn't realize it got changed.

@@frank2510 AGREED! The nerf was needed but it didn't deserve to be a large thal that can't fish. I think they should have just made it easier to hit in the air, or alternativly nerf the peck damage on larger creatures such as para so it regens faster than you do damage depending on if the larger creature is full health or not. Should just have less damage as you go up the scale tbh. Or he should just add a peck attack in air that takes a certain percentage of stam. It kinda sucks to play quetz now ngl
as funny as pushing that ano around is for a video like this i just see that if you guys wanted u could let him drown in water easily. not very smart game design cause he would be pretty defenseless.
