Greetings from Guyana. What a beauty of a skidder? Cable skidders always look so 'balanced' unlike grapple ones. Love this skidder. Thanks for sharing,
I ran my own 440 skidder for about 15 years. And when I see one of these big skidders I whish I could run one of these big ones for a while gust ta see what there like.
I ran a 540D for 12 years before I bought this one. Having owned the G3 for 7 years now I wished I did it sooner. Sooo much improved from the older models.
So John Deere doesn't make a skidder like this anymore with the shorter nose? The H and L series all seem the have the longer front end that looks like an ant eater in my opinion lol
Just a beautiful little machine! Perfect for southern Ontario hardwood loggers.. one day soon i hope...

She is beautiful!
If I got a new skidder, I'd probably get a cable skidder like this first. Can dubble the winch to use as vehicle recovery...
They stopped making these skidders

That thing has some speed behind it
The one my brother operates has seven or eight forward gears, and the same for reverse.

Usually you want a long frame... Exsspecily if you pull hevier loads. The short frames wheelie easier.
Oh ok I see, that makes sense. Thanks
That's at least what my dad says. I believe the short frames have the advantage of a smaller turning radius, I have forgotten what exactly he said.
Ya, are you guys in the lumber industry?
@@datclutch7861 my dad is an old time logger, and my family has always been into logging and mining, on both sides of the family I believe.
Nice. :))
