I have a few episodes to go on Lost You Forever 2 and I think Yang Zi has done an amazing job with XaoYao. All the actors were great, but it was XaoYao's story and Yang Zi truly brought her to life.

I'm watching Strange Tales S2, and I should say the production team did an amazing job. I can obviously tell the budget was increased compared to S1, so they could do more for S2. Also the best part is that they managed to keep the main cast, we all know it's a rare thing in Cdramaland. So, for me the rating is lower than I expected, I would give it 8.7 with a possibility of going higher while the drama progresses.
I'm currently watching only Strange Tales S2 and Kdrama My Sweet Mobster.

Yessssss, You Are My Secret will go live already BUT it is in Mango TV with a very confusing English subs (in this time I would always tell myself to learn Mandarin😂) I love the novel so I am really excited for this drama. I hope it will be a successful drama
Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty Season 2 deserves the high rating if you like the characters and the mystery elements. There's quite a lot of violence in the first few episodes, so it's not for the squeamish. The power struggle between the Princess and Crown Prince adds to the intrigue and is based on actual historical events. I was somewhat disappointed by Interlaced Stories. The plot revolves too much on far-fetched coincidences. I am looking forward to starting Lost You Forever Season 2. Cheers!

I just finished LYF2 and it was emotional to say goodbye to all these characters. I'm also 2 episodes away from finishing ABaY. Loved both. Now it's time for me to start "The Best Day of My Life". I looked at my lists of dramas and my PENDING dramas is a very long list and ones that are available to watch now is very short. So I'll have to be really slow at viewing the ones I'm on now. "Interlaced Scenes" is very intense and for some reason, I have to take breaks after about 3 episodes and watch sthg lighthearted. Like "My Wife's Double Life". However, that one can get a bit annoying. lol The problem with ones that are airing now, is they haven't posted enough vids for me to start them. sigh.....such is life in C-Drama Land. But it's fun.

In general I think its very difficult for S2 to beat S1 and even though I am a bit behind on STOTD2, I still like S1 a little bit better. I do think S2 clearly has more budget and is more polished visually and the team dynamics are natural and pick up seamlessly from where they left off. But I still have a soft spot for S1 because it tells the story of how they all got together. We are only halfway through so hopefully the narrative holds up into the finale. There is already talk of S3.

Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty2 is really interesting.
Hi 👋; so finished ABAY and gave it a 9.5/10. So only have Dashing Youth going on. That said, Snowfall aka The Shadow has been releasing a lot of material so they may be finally gearing up for a premiere. Saw that Dark Night and Dawn Passed Review. It’s on my Watchlist; really want to see how CZY does in a republican era espionage drama. Thanks!

I thought i was the only one dropping them as fast. I give them two episodes at the most. Xu Kai has been disappointing for a while that I've decided to drop him entirely. This whole year I have finished a total of not more than 5 dramas
On the contrary those dramas I choose carefully to watch finish all episodes.perhaps you see the trailers and read the synopsis first to see whether you like the drama plot DEVELOPMENTS before start to watch the episodes

It's still being released there so if you want to start watching the 40/41 episodes without skipping it is perhaps the most comfortable option for you, I think.
Translated subtitles are good there, but still imperfect at times. When you get to "military order" just correct in your mind to "pledge". There is nothing military in that series 😂
I am not sure the additional episode will be added, to add more to the happy end. Even without it, the end is OK ; I don't know why dramas these days have to add episodes to confirm of explain ends - sometimes necessarily like for The Double. couldn't post production contain a drama within the announced number of episodes? So here for ABAY we have the "children and old life and rewind to start" sequences, which really are a bonus. If it's not added in the licenced to V version, you can hunt it up elsewhere ; perhaps it will be on RUclips too.
If you have no time, or for those who like to get nutshell reminder of selected moments, I think mk916 on RUclips is preparing one of her famous music MV summaries focusing on ML/FL romance. The complete drama is still worth enjoying if you have time,
V advisory rates the series 12 because there are a couple of near steamy sweet and kiss scenes and one danger one.
On the whole I liked that series enough to generously award it a 9 on one list for international audiences.
I also recommend to watch in addition some RUclips travel vlogs about Qingdao to fully appreciate the places the series was filmed in.
As for having fun with product placement which is not too annoying in ABAY, the production went for a niche brand of beer called Zebra instead of the expected green cans of Tsingtao.
Like in The Tale Of Rose, some of the fashion, especially LiLi's handbag, is from famous high end brands. Some of the luxury wristwatches belong to Xu Kai, apparently : Like Z.Tao and other celebs he collects the impossibly expensive Richard Mille timepieces, and has some slightly less pricy Bvlgari ones as well. These things are not for the common drama watching crowd though : they cost as much as cars or houses! Worn usually by celebs such as F1 car racers or moguls like Elon Musk! Pity the billionaires who need those pretty toys to be happy and enjoy art and specialty skills (and add to country wellbeing through their taxes and sometimes donations) but are next scolded for flaunting wealth by the envious plodding netizens ! (Looking wistfully at my own plebeian Swatch which is not from the limited edition series but from the common ones which were sometimes sold on planes in the past: that one could not be bartered for a new EV 😂 Anyway I don't wear it often since a clock is built in my "ordinary" smartphone won in a lottery. That's also the tool I use to watch many series and RUclips features.. On the go 😁.)
