Turns out the reason it was reading low is that the test is based off of sea level air pressure. At the 7000ft elevation of my cabin, the results are expected to be 20% lower. So we're all good
I am always happy when a new video of yours comes out. It keeps reminding me that I need to do my Yaris up for racing eventually... after university. On an unrelated note, your channel is definitely growing. 325 views in 12 hours of an upload? The same time next year it'll be 3250 views in 12 hours. Keep it up and you'll grow. It takes time but eventually you'll grow big enough to fund the car at least partly from YT income. Plus, YT loves this sort of content - it isn't violent or controversial so the algorithm will pick it up. Keep it up!
I drove a loaner 2008 2 door Hatchback stick shift... I grew to like it and purchased it a few days ago. Fun, reliable, simple and cheap car to own. No racing for me though... I'm gonna do some serious sound deadening. See if I can make it as quiet as a luxury car 😂.
Quick question for your sir. Did you make sure to open the throttle fully when you did your compression test? If its fly by wire does it rest at WOT or lower?) This is a must for doing compression tests. The engine simply can't suck in air to compress. The other small thing was I didn't notice a seal (usually thick rubber) washer on the tester adapter. Anyway, huge thumbs up! I'm excited to see you in the Yaris again this year. Maybe you can send me a link to the TRD series for scheduling, so I can make it out and see some races live.

@@RassoolRacing another engine, probably the worst engine the Yaris has ever seen: the 3 cylinders 1 litre 1KR-FE. it seems that oil was diluted with unburnt fuel because of a piston ring leaking, so when checking the oil level it was good, but once I was on track, with everything heated and a few hard corners, the oil pump wasn't able to deliver more oil. shit happens I guess, next Yaris I get is gonna have the right engine for sure, still thinking if buying a GR or a GRMN, or maybe an older TS to strip completely out only for the track.
@@RassoolRacing highly illegal in Italy, it would be faster and cheaper to buy a Yaris TS that already has a 2ZR, or buy a lighter first gen with the 1NZ (you may know it as the Echo). but thank you very much, I'll probably get the same new motor in so that I can keep it as a cheap daily and knowing of this issue, I'll keep an eye on it more frequently.
