I wouldn't say that she was sad, but she was being very reflective (mostly bc of all the bad experiences she had months before the "Velvet Rope" era).

I may be wrong but janet looked like some of those questions got on her nerves.
The interviewer was trying a bit too hard with the existential questions, and some of them really didn't have a point. So, it was clear Janet was thinking "What the hell are you even asking me?"

This interview is so awkward lmao. The interviewer has NOOOO idea how to segue from one question to another so there's a complete lack of continuity and flow of a natural conversation. "What does Janet do when she's not touring?" -I like to read books "ANY REGRETS IN LIFE?" Lol!!! And then she also comes off as pretty insincere (5:22). Janet looks absolutely stunning here tho!!!
