      @@MakeMiniatures I AM enjoying the series!! I a little too much, in fact: I have translation work I have to finish tonight, and I keep watching your videos instead! 😂😊

      Oh I know what that's like Kat! Should I put little pop-up messages in the videos? 'Did you finish your work today?' 'Stop procrastinating!' 'Should you be watching this now?' 😆

      Thank you so much Adrienne! Your comment makes me smile as I tried to accomplish so much on a shoestring budget: phone camera clipped to a broom handle, lights taped to sticks and dangling from string, all the black fabric I could find hung and draped around the house, pantyhose tied around a shaped clothes hanger as a plop filter for sound recording etc. etc. 😅 A steep learning curve! But fun too.

      Thank you very much Shelley! I had as much fun filming this as I had making the house. My filming equipment is totally unprofessional of course with lights and my phone camera tied to broom handles etc. but that matches my skills and tools of those early days when I made this house. 😃

    Stunning video, I've watched it three times now (I should be doing housework!) So many beautiful pieces to look at from artisans and made by your own hand. Very smooth video and I love the birds and their chirping outside!). Just beautiful and thank you for sharing :)

    You said you bought the mdf-house could you say where to buy? I'm searching for a dutch canal house to build.

      Thank you so much for the compliment! Yes, I bought the MDF shell of the house from "De Stolp". Unfortunately they stopped making the houses and closed the shop years ago. I don't think there are any others for sale at the moment. Maybe you can try one of the dollhouse groups and ask if someone has plans for sale? Sorry I can't be of more help!

    Brilliant must have cost a mini fortune to make and dress this beautiful house

    • @MakeMiniatures
      @MakeMiniatures  2 года назад +1

      Thank you! 😊 The making didn't cost that much as I worked with many materials which were given to me or packaging materials, but yes you are right, over the years I have spent a mini fortune on furniture, silver etc. Eating dry bread most of the year 😉

      @@MakeMiniatures it's worth it though I'm at the beginning of my dollhouse journey. I don't think I will ever reach your standard of work but I'm loving it very much

    • @MakeMiniatures
      @MakeMiniatures  2 года назад +1

      @@jojosmumdorothy2829 I agree. Some people buy clothes or cars or beauty treatments, I buy miniatures (and tools!). I'm glad you're enjoying your miniature work, that's what it's all about! I love the process of learning and discovering and improving. You'll get better at what you're doing too, but enjoying the process and what you're doing now is the main thing.
