Nice! I always had problems with kickflips, I was never able to pull one off. Gave up skating 10 years ago. 30 years old now, feeling kind of old to do this shit now but.. Wanted to see if I could still pull an ollie at least, and i accidentally pulled my first kickflip instead. xD After that moment, I've been able to kickflip whenever I want. Feels so good.
Anthony Gonsalves Wow! Can you help me? I'm always landing to far on the nose on my varial heelflips. I got it for the past 2 days and I'm landing on the nose instead of landing on the bolts.
Aaron the weird thing with this trick isn't just foot position but you shift your weight right before you pop it and it keeps the board under you. so ok say you are rolling and you bend down to get ready to pop while bending down you wanna have your weight shifted to your toes but right before you pop you shift your weight to your heels and pop the front shuv and heelflip and it flips perfect and under you. my friend gave me this tip years ago and it helped immensely!! now these are an 8/10 try trick easy! love your channel!!!
I love these tutorials because they really do help rather than trying to just figure out the trick on your own. If you know what you're supposed to do that's the first step of learning.
actually watched this video and i went out and learnt the trick :) was so stoked getting down! the thing for me was getting enough flip but in the end i realised to put my front foot more of the board thanks man!
I love when Aaron yells OHHHH! after landing a trick or when someone he is skating with does. Everyone who skates knows that feeling haha just makes me smile
I know this is a little over a year old, but I just want to say that getting mad will just make you just rage. He learns tricks quick because he knows he can't do them at first until he trys, understands he does something wrong, corrects it, and repeats until he lands it
I'm not real good at heelflips either, but I learned these the same day as f/s pop shuvits. The way I do 'em is to set up with my front foot somewhat on the heel, ready to flick, and then just focusing on doing a f/s pop shuvit. Like with tre flips, you don't need to put a whole lot of effort into the flipping, just focus on the scooping and landing.
Can you make videos explaining what a trick is. For example explain like what a tre flip is (I dont really understand it) and show it in slow motion or something.
I learned this trick in 94' but I couldn't stick it trying from an idle position. You need a little more speed to get a higher pop and its easier to find the sweet spot on your heal to flick it out and keeping it under your feet.
Damn, these are probably just as helpful as your trick tips. Really great seeing the learning process and seeing how you narrow down what u need to do to land it. I'm inspired to learn these!
I figured a way to get good heelflips. Put the edge of the heel of your shoe on the very edge (backside edge) of the board. Pop streight down and keep your shoulders parallel with the board at all times.
Eu sou Brasileiro não entendo nada do que vc fala KkkkkkkkkK...... Más só de ver vc ensinando as manobra já deu para mim aprender muita coisa parabéns pelo seu canal brother show de bola !!! Tbm quero aprender é ensinar igual vc.
Hey Aaron I have my heelflips, kick flips, varials, varial heel, tre flip, backside flip, backside heel, shove it's, 180's, backside big spin, big flip, and cabellerial...wat trick should I work on next?
In my opinion this is one of the cleanest and most fancy looking tricks in all of skateboarding and I feel like pros don't really use this trick that much
i always thought it was interesting, a lot of time when people are doing backside 180s it tends to be pivots vs straight .. and this vid identified that perfectly. which do you think is cooler?
I learned varial kick flips and varial heel flips before I could even land a regular kick flip, that's how difficult some people feel a kickflip can be!
+Nunna Yerbiznizz same haha i accidently landed a fake varial kickflip before i landed a regular kickflip, still i got the kickflip a day later then =P
I been skating for 3 years, and I still can't Varial heel... I can switch Varial heel, nollie Varial heel, fakie Varial heel, and laser flip, but I can't Varial heel..... So props bro
thanks Aaron to make revive "Boom shaka laka yo here comes the Chief Rocka", big up to Mista Funkyman, the lotug and Marley Marl on production(back in the day when I was a teen ager) Have fun kids and follow the Aaron way to skate, and the more importante keep a cool state of mind.
i found with these if you move your front foot slightly down from normal heelflips and just barley jump back when you pop it its easier to land. Thats just me though
My experience doing a Varial heel flip is keep that back foot like your doing a fs shove it and your front foot like your doing a heel flip it took me at least five trys and finely I got it down after I land my first Varial heel my friend was shock all he said was you just did a Varial heel flip
i learned these too, but i'm really bad at them! i think i need to do a skate support
I miss this Braille
Me too...

@LetoZeth we all can skating at any age dude.. we must just go skate everyday to progress, at 14 or 50 years old
Congrats, but can you give me some advice about this trick? I feel I can't flip the board correctly, because it only rotates for 180 degrees.
Varial heelfip = my favorite trick for the past 20 years. It's such a good feeling trick IMO.
Anthony Gonsalves Wow! Can you help me? I'm always landing to far on the nose on my varial heelflips.
I got it for the past 2 days and I'm landing on the nose instead of landing on the bolts.
+BADriver142A jist stay more over your board

Try a lazer flip next.
this video rules, Aaron!! its what skateboarding is all about! your passion and positive message is a beautiful thing!
I love these tutorials because they really do help rather than trying to just figure out the trick on your own. If you know what you're supposed to do that's the first step of learning.
lol I still having struggles with this one but kyro called it. the giants really did win the world series!!!

thanks man!
I love when Aaron yells OHHHH! after landing a trick or when someone he is skating with does. Everyone who skates knows that feeling haha just makes me smile

I just learned these, boy...they are tricky and like what Aaron said, a beast in its own category lol
We really really appreciate you Aaron. 💜🖤
Nice Aaron! I learned varial heelflips recently also
Aaron never seems to get mad when he tries to do tricks.
Watch aaron learning to lazer flip and he gets pissed
watch manny double flip manny he gets really frustrated .Its kinda weird seing him mad
I know this is a little over a year old, but I just want to say that getting mad will just make you just rage. He learns tricks quick because he knows he can't do them at first until he trys, understands he does something wrong, corrects it, and repeats until he lands it

varial heel flips are my favorite trick, just because they're so hard and it feels so good to land them.
Eu sou Brasileiro não entendo nada do que vc fala KkkkkkkkkK...... Más só de ver vc ensinando as manobra já deu para mim aprender muita coisa parabéns pelo seu canal brother show de bola !!! Tbm quero aprender é ensinar igual vc.

loly lets plays what you talking about a lot of pros do varial heels down gaps
Aren’t varial double heels a daydream flip?

i always thought it was interesting, a lot of time when people are doing backside 180s it tends to be pivots vs straight .. and this vid identified that perfectly. which do you think is cooler?

I learned varial kick flips and varial heel flips before I could even land a regular kick flip, that's how difficult some people feel a kickflip can be!
+Nunna Yerbiznizz same haha i accidently landed a fake varial kickflip before i landed a regular kickflip, still i got the kickflip a day later then =P

I'm pretty sure it's like a pressure flip

thanks Aaron to make revive "Boom shaka laka yo here comes the Chief Rocka", big up to Mista Funkyman, the lotug and Marley Marl on production(back in the day when I was a teen ager)
Have fun kids and follow the Aaron way to skate, and the more importante keep a cool state of mind.

you should do big heel next that would be sick
i found with these if you move your front foot slightly down from normal heelflips and just barley jump back when you pop it its easier to land. Thats just me though
My experience doing a Varial heel flip is keep that back foot like your doing a fs shove it and your front foot like your doing a heel flip it took me at least five trys and finely I got it down after I land my first Varial heel my friend was shock all he said was you just did a Varial heel flip
last one was so smooth
