I confess to a certain ignorance re Bruhns but he has a persuasive advocate in Charlie Brusquini. He masters a grand theatrical tonal palette. Great to hear how this young musician is maturing after his earlier splendid Bach and Franck. Thanks too for great visual and sound contributions from the technical team.
Thank you Christopher for your kind words. Charlie is responsible for the filming and editing of the video. I have made the audio recording. It is also me that assists Charlie with the changing of registration and turning the pages.
@@CharlesBrusquini You have a bit more than posture going.....very different for the young crop of organists I see coming along from the Netherlands and Germany (at least those I follow on YT)
@@CharlesBrusquini Not that they aren't all good...it just seems like you are the only one who knows the way to the gym. Keep it up...you look as good as you sound!
I know that trills are the accepted modern addition to early works like this one. Please, don't. Play it the way it's written. It is a magnificent piece in its original clear, clean, simple beauty. I very much appreciate your honoring the rests in the latter parts of this composition. Give them their full space - add to the drama of the piece. These supportive comments from a non-organist who dearly loves the pipe organ in all its manifestations.
Charlie , you are an amazing performer. You have a very subtle feel for the instrument. You accurately convey the idea of the composer. Thank you very much! I follow your posts closely.
Very fine organ playing, young man! Wonderful to know young people are continuing the great tradition.

Yay. A new video. Perfect as always
Why and how does Charlie Brusquini play so wonderfully?
Do you have more details about the year of construction and the constructor of this organ? Sounds extremely well taken care of
It is a very nice one built by Johannes Menzel in 1991!
