Why didn't anyone else get involved? And what effects did this conflict have? To find out watch this short and simple animated history documentary.

@Jab Well to put it even simpler. Many peoples in what used to be british colonies thought they were going to get their own nations and countries. But England was like we are going to do this. ( draws borders encompassing all the groups) Then they were like but.... we DO NOT like each other!!! You know past grudges and grievances. Atrocities by both sides you know the usual. But jolly old England is like " oh quit yer yappin ya wankers!!! " " everything will be fine." " What is the worse that could happen !? "

@@nbewarwe The Khmer Rouge Regime initiated attacks against Vietnam, fearing they would dominate the region after defeating South Vietnam. Vietnam would invade in response, prompting an invasion the following year by Chinese PLA forces that would be the Sino-Vietnamese war (1979). China supported the Khmer Rouge, and adding "irony" to the matter, Vietnam and China had supported the Communist insurgency against the U.S. and then South Vietnam backed Cambodian government during the Cambodian civil war (1968-1975). Communist victory there brought Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge to power, only to be vanquished after a ten year occupation by Communist Vietnamese forces (1979-1989). A final peace agreement between the warring Cambodian rebel groups and the Vietnamese occupation force came about when the Soviet Union collapsed, cutting much foreign support to Vietnam. Plus the occupation of Cambodia by Vietnamese forces was never fully successful, prompting renewed Cambodian nationalism. It's fair to say even Communist governments suffer from their fair share of political "blowback".

Apart from boasting and arrogance, Indians are nothing! In 1962, the Indian army invaded Tibet following Nehru's "Forward Policy," provoking China and resulting in a disastrous military defeat. Indians did not have the courage to face up to this military failure. How can you find the real reason for failure? Your government is afraid to publish the research report "Henderson Brooks Report" summed up by India on the failure of the Sino-Indian war. You stupid people, can you know the truth? Even to this day, Indians have not truly reflected on the reasons for their failure. It is ridiculous to blame General Kaul for not utilizing the Indian Air Force in their military failure. Do you think the Indian Air Force in 1962 could have carried out military operations on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau? Could the Indian Air Force be stronger than the US Air Force? In the Korean War in 1950, the United Nations, led by the United States, deployed over 14 flying squadrons and more than 1300 combat aircraft. Did the US win the Korean War? Is the Indian Air Force stronger than the UN forces? As for accusing China of betraying India, the transition from friendship to war caught the Indians off guard. This is nonsense! Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai had multiple discussions with Prime Minister Nehru, visited India four times regarding the border issue, and made significant concessions. Your Prime Minister Nehru pursued expansionism, had huge territorial ambitions, was too arrogant, and believed that India was the third superpower in the world, pushing China into a corner! The Indian army has been invading Tibet and even crossed the illegal McMahon Line, penetrating deep into Chinese territory, which the Communist Party of China could not tolerate, leading directly to war! As a politician, one must first have a clear understanding of their country's status and capabilities and recognize the abilities of their competitors. However, Indians often lack these abilities in both aspects. Additionally, they fail to understand the art of political negotiation and compromise. Faced with the goodwill shown by Zhou Enlai, the Indians missed a historical opportunity due to their own arrogance and ambition. This outcome is related to the characteristics of the Indian people. In their view, as long as they haven't found money on the ground, they consider themselves to have suffered a huge loss! In the current India-China border issue, the Indians have lost the initiative, and China is becoming increasingly powerful. It is not possible to make concessions as they did 60 years ago because Chinese leaders are well aware of the Indian character. Once concessions are made, the Indians will continue to bargain.

Fun fact: Nuclear Gandhi is a result of a bug in one of the Civilization games. The Gandhi IA was so peaceful that on an agressiveness scale from 1 to 12 he was 1. But when changing the government to Democracy the agressiveness of the IA is decreased by 2; unfortunately since -1 wasn't a valid parameter for an 8-bit game, which can only accept values between 1 and 256, the result was that, on a scale from 1 to 12, Gandhi became 255 of pure nuclear hatred and would launch nukes until everyone else was obliterated.

Thing about being former subjects of the British is that those subjects tend to view themselves in a better light than if they'd never been subjects. It was with this arrogance that India sought press the Chinese on the border with the Forward Policy. The Chinese were willing to leave good enough alone but they couldn't countenance a creeping Indian advance. After very clear warnings were given, the Chinese went in and pushed the Indians back to the line of actual control. This video has a misleading title. There was no invasion. @@rayhnliu6487 ur right! This title is about Indians arguing for their invasion and smearing China. At present, China has friendly border agreements with all neighboring countries, except for India (there is also Bhutan controlled by India, but there is no border dispute between China and Bhutan). How do you say that China invaded Indian territory when the border was uncertain? Moreover, the trigger for military conflicts was the "forward policy" of Indians using sausage cutting to penetrate Chinese territory in order to occupy more land. Indians mistakenly view Chinese patience as a weakness. Taking advantage of the great famine in China, India seized more land through military actions and killed many Chinese border guards. Mao Zedong couldn't bear it anymore and counterattacked. China never expected Indians to be so vulnerable. When Indians face a powerful China, they promote themselves around the world and pretend to be victims. When faced with weaker countries, they engage in brutal military attacks until neighboring countries are annexed. Look at its small neighbor Sikkim, and you will understand the cunning of the Indians. Now India's neighboring countries are on guards against it, such as Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. India has conflicts with all its neighboring countries.

The Forward policy was what it sounded like. Forward! The forward policy had Nehru identify a set of strategies designed with the ultimate goal of effectively forcing the Chinese from territory that the Indian government claimed. The doctrine was based on a theory that China would not likely launch an all-out war if India began to occupy territory that China considered to be its own. India's thinking was partly based on the fact that China had many external problems in early 1962, especially with one of the Taiwan Strait Crises. Also, Chinese leaders had insisted they did not wish a war.

In fact, the Soviet Union and China were at loggerheads because of China's diplomatic mistakes. At the same time, India, as a regional power with a stronger economy than China, attracted both the Soviet Union and the United States. Too good a form of diplomacy led India to invade China in the mistaken belief that now was the time to settle the border issue once and for all. However, due to internal problems, it was counterattacked by the Tibetan local army.mao wrote in his dairy"I thought for ten days and nights and couldn't figure out why they were beating me."

That part of territory called the Aksai Chin was a part of kingdom of Kashmir, a bigger dispute with India-Pakistan. So the non-ethnic Chinese area from Aksai Chin was ceded to Pakistan for better relations. And that very important but lesser known tract of land disconnected India from Afghanistan, and also finds extreme development today by both Pakistan and China because of China's silk route ambition. A single huge highway starts from China, goes through this land, and up till Pakistan's Gwadar Port.

This is China's deliberate war at this time, because the Soviet Union and the United States are on India's side. At the same time, this is also a critical moment for China to develop nuclear weapons. In order to prevent the United States and the Soviet Union from developing weapons to attack China and in the name of helping India, China can only start war at this time. Miraculously, the Soviet Union and the United States hated that China had nuclear weapons, but gave them to other countries.

@L C:Khrushchev meet the crisis, China took the opportunity to blackmail some help, but in fact, many Soviet leaders opposed it. Around 1960, the Soviet Union withdrew all help. Nuclear technology is not a technology that will be controlled soon. 1962 is indeed a critical time for China's nuclear weapons. In fact, many of China's difficulties in the 1960s and 1970s were due to the fact that the Soviet Union and the United States knew that China was developing nuclear technology and intercontinental missiles. Of course, it was more due to Mao and the Chinese character. Now the Vietnamese hate the Chinese very much. One reason is that when China develops nuclear weapons and intercontinental missiles, Vietnam is used as a scarecrow. On the one hand, China gave aid to let Vietnamese fight with Americans. On the other hand, China used Vietnam as a chip to ask the Soviet Union not to abandon him. But there is no way. Yellow people or Asians must have their own nuclear weapons.

In 1971, CPC won the seat of the five permanent members of the United Nations. China has paid too much for this. But then Russia and the United States gave nuclear technology as a free gift to other countries. I admire Charles de Gaulle and the French people. They drove the troops of other countries out of France, established the European Union, maintained French influence, and had five permanent seats in Europe and Africa. I hope one day I can travel to Paris and understand Gaullism.

I found that so amazing so I just texted my friend who was also at home learning just saying “see that video” and he was unsurprised that I already saw it because of how much I have seen your videos. So I hope you know that teachers use your videos to teach their students.

I'm tearing a fresh grave with my claws at night. I break the coffin with my fist and eat the corpse like a crocodile. I'm hanging out, I'm enjoying an exhumed corpse. I dig into the corpse's body with my old sharp tooth. There is pus and clotted scabs under the rotting meat. Drool pours out of my mouth when I eat a corpse. And when I break the skull with the lid of the coffin. The white brain mass flows over the lip.

Parasitic carrion is your gastrointestinal tract. I finish everything that cancer didn't finish during my lifetime. Like a python, I vomit rotten meat out. Well, then I eat my prey again with gusto. Expectorant mixture of sputum, mucus and bile. I nibble savoringly sweet human bones. Chewing lymph, liquid pus stinks abominably. Bowel movements and vomiting are delicious for me.

"Annex" is not the correct word. There are no former border in the first place. The British draw a line on the map without surveying the area and the Chinese have no idea how the border line is drawn and have not formerly recognize the border. The border can only be consider a border when both side agree where the line is drawn. India have miscalculated. They thought that it is "impossible" for Chinese to send troops because of the logistic challenges due to the terrain and lack of good roads in Tibet to other part of China. I believe India have intention to annex Tibet like it annex Sikkim.

owadays, young people are moving into some kind of abyss. All these: chill, rofl, pon, norms, etc ... etc. simply eradicate the culture of the state. Most likely, at this rate (by the year 2100), all words will become like this. Today's children cannot be torn away from computers. They usually play their "virtual" (as they claim) games, and don't even go outside. The Communist Party can use the reverse process. Will not be(At least I hope) of all sorts: "Tick-tok", "Like" (or in a bad way "like"), "Among us"...And other social networks where people independently eradicate their mind. There will be no music like "Morgenstern", "LJ", "slava marlow" (especially with a small letter), "Timati"... and similar slag. People listening to this music start drinking alcohol, smoking tobacco, and even worse.

Of course you're not going to. The culture of the state is long words, three letters, - these are borrowings from the nasty English language, - this is rap and pop suggestive about banned substances and girls of easy virtue- - and these are computer toys, and applications for stupefaction. A person is ready to stuff shit on a shovel into his mouth, just to have fun and lose his mind and money for nothing. And you're climbing into the same hole that you can't leave. Climb on, you have time like air in your lungs, but you don't want to lose it.
