From what I'm seeing it seems it doesn't matter how you order your opening as long as you execute it correctly. But I can definetly tell we all use shoha inbetween namikiri procs cause the combinations looks so damn gorgeous!!
Yeah, just gotta make sure you use kasha/ gekko on the spare meikyo window after higanbana as they take 3 cd's to build up, so you hakaze > yukikaze instead. luckily its not very strict in rotation!
Rotations wrong not saving kenki for burst window, throwing out meikyo's wily nilly too. Fine for general showing for new people but i feel in depth guides would help them more anyway not just a dummy.
@@akirahill8091 I'd say any physical ranged like Dancer, Machinist or casters like Red Mage and Summoner i'd say are your go to for beginner friendly. For Tanks, use Warrior or Dark Knight, Healers classes any class other than Astro
@@akirahill8091 If you turn on the option for controller that allows you to access another crossbar temporarily by holding in one trigger, then holding in the opposite, it helps a lot. It won't change you from your primary crossbar and let's you press buttons on the second one without having to change back and forth. I have a visible hotbar on screen that allows me to see the cooldowns for that secondary crossbar, since they normally aren't visible unless you do so. Another tip is to make a secondary hotbar for raiding that doesn't have your AOEs on it. It can help with button bloat a lot and give you easier button presses. I also have it setup so the secondary crossbar has followup to actions linked to the same button. So for example, Midare is set to R2+Dpad up, but the Tsubame-gaeshi followup us set to hold R2- > L2+Dpad up. Makes quick inputs easy.
Hey im new to ffxiv and samurai, got my sam to lvl80 and im struggling to understand the roto? Like there should be single target and aoe rotos correct? How would I setup my bar for both
Hi and welcome! and yeah there is aoe and single target rotations. This vid is level 90 rotation for single target. As for how to set them up is clearly how you want it, as you can see on my controller set up i have my main AOE Gcds on R2+ d-pad because its comfy for me. As for AOE rotation you do Fuga > Oka and Fuka > Mangetsu to form Tenka Goken followed by Tsubame-gaeshi which gives you Kaeshi: Goken. You want to use Kyuten and Guren as your kenki spenders, don't overcap Level 90 rotation is made to line up with raid buffs at every 4th GCD because endwalker made it easier to line up raid buffs, which is why its setup that way
i have my aoe skills on altQ(fuko) altE(mangetsu) and altF(oka) and my single target are 1(hakaze) 2(jinpu) 3(shifu) and the combo finisheres are all on the corresponding ctrl key, so yukikaze- ctrl1 gekko- ctrl2 and kasha-ctrl3 so 1-2- ctrl2 is rly easy to get used to since you just press ctrl and the last button again :p

I'm on controller, and i hate that i can't assign certain skills to my extra hotbars so i can learn the rotation.
Yeah, Sam definitely suffers a bunch of button bloat than other classes. I hope they will do something about this at 7.0
@@Kyuuren13 I shy away certain classes because I play on controller, especially gun breaker, any classes you can recommend are easier on controller?

@@asatowolfe I use those and they help greatly on controller
Im trying to learn samurai at least get an idea of an opening, still confusing
what bits is still confusing? if you practice on a dummy for a while it'll eventually be basic memory

i lied actually theyre on shift not ctrl since its easier to reach
This is not the correct way to do the opener or the rotation.
And he needs to use true north
omg, so much buttons x.x
