Thanks for this one Russ. Both grandmas and my dad are from there - part of the dust-bowl depression migrants that went west in the 30's. Tough people. The organ is awesome. That's only a tiny part of the pipes on display too. There are usually bigger ones and a huge motor for the air. That looked like an open cage elevator. I don't ride those either. Has nothing to do with health taking the stairs. They creep me out, lol. This video was greatly appreciated. Enjoy family time. Cheers. 👍

Thanks for the tour of the Capitol. I've been to quite a few Capitol buildings but not that one.
One of my weirdest experiences with touring a Capitol building was the one in West Virginia. It seemed like almost everything was open and there was no security there and in fact it seemed like I had the whole place to myself.

Welcome to OKC!! Oklahoma just completed a several years long upgrade and redo of the capitol building and it is beautiful. You should check out the Murrah Buliding Memorial near 5th street in downtown OKC and the Land Run Monuments near Bass Pro in Bricktown.

I remember seeing my Amish Gramma being sent off on the train to Indiana. She believed if man were intended to fly he would have been given wings. Such sweet memories seeing her off on the train from Chicago. She took the train from Indiana to California in the early 1960's and I still have the video my Aunt took during the trip. Too bad that form of transport, including the trolly cars and trains in the cities are all gone now.

Hey Truly enjoying your videos! I saw that you did indeed make a Route 66 Playlist like I requested. Thank you! But I have one more request if it works for you, Could you please “sort” so that the “Date Published (oldest)” Is played first in playlist? This way we can just “Play Playlist” and it will go in order from the start of your trip to the most recent. And we don’t have to go INTO playlist to choose the video. It’s not too hard to do…as a creator myself, that is the way I will set up trip videos so we can see them in order of travel. It’s easier for viewer to watch. In fact I wish ALL of your playlists were set up this way…Thanks so much!!! Am really enjoying your channel.

Oklahoma City got a Major League 🏀 team called Oklahoma City Thunder. The team was originally from Seattle, Washington. Used to be called the Seattle Supersonics. They are currently playing at the Paycom Center. But soon be playing at their new Arena across the street from their current location.

When I was a kid on route 66 driving through Oklahoma in 1961, I thought all the rolling hills was where they put all the dust from the dust bowl and planted trees on top to stabilize the soil. I had an active imagination.

Oklahoma! was a Rogers & Hammerstein Broadway musical which premiered in 1943. It was made into a motion picture in 1955, starring Gordon McRea and Shirley Jones. Oddly enough, the outdoor scenes for the movie were shot in Cochise County, Arizona. Go figure.
