He’s 🔥 and he’s been overlooked and slept on for far too long; because in my opinion, he’s both a dope song writer and incredibly skilled rapper. His flow switches are seamless, he finds pockets you didn’t even know were there, his schemes, metaphors and lyricism are fantastic, and his content and storytelling are on another level. Sure you don’t agree, but that’s the beauty of hip hop. Differing opinions and something for everyone. The music may speak to your soul, but leave someone else stone cold. I’ve found that Joyner’s music is very divisive. Often the person will either really likes his music, or really dislikes it😂with no one between. Thanks for your comment. Part of the problem with his sort of list is what you said at the end “I couldn’t even name 100 MFing artists”
Doing this with only current artists means half of these rankings are based off hearing one or two songs, or remembering what some friend or reactor you respect said about so and so, or straight name recognition, because nobody is listing to 100 current artist in one genre on the regular.
There was a disclaimer at the beginning that this list was strictly "New School" rappers so makes sense why Em and Wayne and rappers like that aren't on there, but the order of this list is just... false lol
