I own a 2021 gls 450 and the bouncy thing is to help you to get out of mud or sand in case you get stuck in it during when you are off reading as this is an off-road car
surely you would go for the diesel! We have 2017 GLS350d with active curve- its boring to drive, but does go very well. Around 8 on the highway, long term average is 10lt/100. Land keeping assist is basically dangerous in the way it brakes the car; turned it off. Active cruise is ok on freeway, but horrid around town. Range Rover is sublime in execution. Lights are excellent. Huge load space, get Low range.
It certainly is a nice vehicle but for all that money it is most certainly not going off road any time soon which is why I would rather look at Land ruiser 200 or even better a Lexus LX…
the ONLY thing that the LX does better is reliability. Everything else like performance, handling, comfort, tech, interior quality, styling is better in the Germans
@@kristians2704 Rubbish. The LX is superior in build quality, isolation, opulence/luxury etc, Germans are better for outright performance and that’s it, you’ll need an LX to tow your shizenbox German mobile home.

A beautiful vehicle and a great review! Love it.
Each time the rear end view with the gls badge pops up, my gaze is always drawn to the misaligned chrome trim. So much for a flagship luxury vehicle.
Good review mate….miss Melbourne so much…dunno when we can return there…:(
Excellentn video, very informative. Great vehicule
So informative video and nice car
Excellent review....
Need some info on running cost... 😊
Looks good,? Compared to Lexus gx 460
I’d buy it just for that bouncing car function!
If I was after something this big I’d plump for a X7.. maybe
X7 drives better and is built better.
No second row ventilated or massaging seats in the x7. You can also only access the third row from one side of the x7.

looks good
Please where is this Beach Side driving location? Does anyone knows? TIA
Great-looking SUV. The kind of vehicle you should never buy, but only lease!
Is the rear seat comfort package available for gls450?
Unfortunately no. MB forces rear seat buyer to get GLS Maybach.
In MY24, you can get it in the GLS 580.
Buy it
Can this be electrically charged and run on pure electricity daily for short commute?
No. It is not a PHEV. Only a MHEV.
Does it have a real exhaust pipe connected to the outside?
I am not sure about all model years, but for 2024, yes.
Thats a hefty price for a vehicle 😳
LX-570 all day over this or the X7.

@@craigdavid6668 No, the X7 and GLS have way nicer interiors and have way more tech.
No second row ventilated or massaging seats available in the LX.
🎥👍
BMW X7 such a better car!
