Finally! The Micro printing in what is described as an instruction book, NEVER (as far as my wife is concerned, who still possesses eyes that can actually still perceive writing that small) apparently NEVER describes what indicates fully charged! We guessed that it would likely STOP blinking. And according to you, it indeed does! The MOST helpful information, is the ability to stuff it with 2 18650's in the 1st 2 slots, and just to see if it would start a house fire, stuff in 2 X 12 year old AA NiCad's! Interestingly, the actual charger that came with those, claimed they were fully charged! Obviously, they were not! Thanks Dude! You answered questions that the manufacturer did not!
I never read the instruction book and it went in the trash with the package. The device has been used a lot every week (I work in a mine, you need light in the dark :D). So now, after four years of use, I noticed that this charger has two buttons and miraculously flashing lights. What do these do? Glad I found this video! All the most important things about the product in a really understandable way. Your English is also very clear even though I'm from Scandinavia.. You are doing an appreciable activity, Thank you for this!🎉
I have this charger and its awesome. I notice that batteries that are unevenly discharged while charging it will always balance the charge between all 4 bays. I doesnt have all the bells and whistles but it works great and i use it for my vaping gear. and its really fast too!
Hey Kevin. Thanks man. I’ve had my charger on default charging my 3000mAh 18650 batteries and some how changed the settings and now it’s all messed up but hopefully with these tips I’ll get it back on track.
I just watched this. It’s an amazing video. I learned how to use this charger now. Got it from a buddy. Did an awesome job on explaining things. Much love Kevin
make sure you have it on a hard surface, not cloth or carpet. Mine get warm its normal, but if it so hot you can't touch it get a new one....shouldn't get that hot TRUST ME YOU DONT WANT A LITHIUM -ION BATTERY FIRE!!!!!!!
Hey Kevin! Thanks much, happy turkey day in 7 days too. I am also here because of the microscopic instructions. Not even a magnifying glass helped, except to give me a headache. 😄🙄
Mine after 3 years or more just went out I believe. After about 30 seconds of putting batteries in, it immediately reads fully charged. They are not charging
Hi, i too have bought this charger november 2020 but i have a problem. At 5:51minute you talk about the C and V select buttons. Well, both are NOT working on my charger. i press/hold down/click click nothing happens. Any ideas please?
I can only stand by the one I reviewed as it is the only one I am familiar with. Having never heard of the brand you speak of, I can say I know more about Nitecore and have their products.
Very very informative and I clearly understood this. You explained it really well. Can I charge an Android phone (usb c) with nitecore new i4. If yes how to do that? I have a 65w brick with my nord 2 5g, and this is very fast charging. I'm curious if I should charge my phone and my mods (vapes} with a 3.7v current? Please tell me about this. Your new fan... Cheers!
Kevin, could you help me please. Put 4 new fenix 3400 in my new nitecore charger, been charging 4 hrs, was blinking on 100%, took batteries out put in cartridge for tk75 flashlight pressed battery power indicator and flashing red light, meaning critically low battery.I just popped batteries in charger and turned it on, thought it was automatic setting. Probably me doing something wrong, read instructions. Voltage on 3.7. Just how long should it take to charge 4 batteries that are very low.
@@KReesethebeast Thanks for reply Kevin, Batteries charged fine using both wall plug and USB port. Left batteries in charger for 4 hours sometimes remain 30% 0r 50%, charger never got warm. Already returned it , no problem. C button was very difficult to operate. I tried over and over again to charge batteries with charger thinking I was doing something wrong, but no luck. Put 100% charged battery in charger and charger would show 30% or 50% charged. Just strange.
@@KReesethebeast My new replacement charger arrived today and works great. Thanks for your great review, you described every little detail that explains the operation of this charger.
Hi kevin thanx for the clear explanation. if i have 4 batterys in the slots and with 1 battery (in this case the last) are blinking three green lights and the red as well what does that mean?
@@KReesethebeast thnx for your reply. If a whole row lights of just one battery including the red one light keeps blinking is that charging priority ? als a red rid bliks at an other battery. Can it be a faulty battery indication?
I noticed the same thing with an 18350 and thought it was an over discharged IMR, so I pressed both C and V buttons at the same time to refresh the battery and it then charged normally.
Would never buy another Nitecore charger (or anything for that matter). I had the SC2 2x channel charger and 1 of the channels failed less than 5 months later. I emailed Nitecore and they said it's a known issue and told me to go through the warranty process with the retailer. However, it would have cost me about $10 to ship it to them and they were going to bill me $10 to ship the new charger back. So I'm gonna pay $20 for the replacement of a $15 charger that will likely fail 5 months later??!! 🤦♂️ Thanks Nitecore! 🖕 This is what the Nitecore rep emailed me "After a little digging, it seems the SC2 charger has had issues in the past with only one slot/channel functioning."
That's unfortunate you had a negative experience with them. I've had some of their products and they have performed well. I had a negative experience with one of my Fenix headlamps, but that was an isolated incident. I tried not to let that issue ruin all their products for me.
@@KReesethebeast I try to avoid discounting a brand by one bad experience too but the way they handled it (or lack thereof) is what really pissed me off. 5 months old device, known issue per them, and seemingly an easy solution that they just washed their hands of.
Lost my instructions years ago and just pulled it out again. Your video is perfect. Thank you for taking time to give such detail!
Glad it helped! Thank you!

Yep when they are all lit and shows 100%.

Yes

I would honestly search their website or ask Nitecore as I did not test that, just used to charge those batteries for my fancy flashlights, lol.

So okay I've got two 3.7 18 650 batteries and I charge them on 3.7 v should I start charging them on the 4.2 v
The charger will default to what size battery is in it. I do not change anything I just pop them in and let them charge.
What's the charge time for 18650 batteries?
Not too bad I can charge 4 of them in a few hours it has never taken longer than three hours to do them all.
During charging, it makes a continuous ticking sound. Is it normal or a defect in the manufacture of the device? Can someone answer me?
I never noticed a clicking noise with mine.
