To the teenage with childhood trauma, Although the past was not in your control (as said by Junaid bhai), but since now you are in your concious mind, do not let it control your present otherwise it will effect your present and future. You can start with mini goals in life since it helps a lot example today you will pray at least once, or you will wash plates, it is upto you to decide mini goals . Also I would suggest you to read self-help books if you cannot go for therapy. Self-help books are equivalent to therapy and it makes you aware of many situations.

So, it is not entirely due to teenage hormones in this case. Please help this child get therapy for PTSD from the psychological and physical abuse they have gone through.
