But since he basically he raised her his instinctive response was I’m gonna be a grandfather meaning he subconsciously thinks of Carly as his daughter. Even though he isn’t

I knew this was going to be the best season since Carly and Freddie got together, and I'm glad the writers keep proving me right!!
The Creddie pregnancy bit was so foreshadowing!
Really endearing that Spencer considers Millicent a niece. Because if he considers any child of Carly’s to be a grandkid, then that means he sees Freddie as a brother, separate from his relationship with Carly.
Freddie seems to love the idea of Carly having his kid... But I could see Carly being nervous or hesitant at the thought of being a mom (since she just doesn't have one). This could be an interesting obstacle for them. But eventually, I think Carly would adjust to the idea once she accepts it on her own terms with Freddie stepping back and letting her realize how great it could be.
Carly's quote to Millicent was more about her confession to Freddie I think since she struggled with her feelings for years.
I think it’s pretty clear why Freddie and Gwen didn’t work out. She was very judgemental and demanding in the episode.
Seeing Spencer Marissa and Lewbert running all over the place screaming like idiots at the thought of Carly being pregnant is the most hilarious comedy bit i've seen in this revival yet. XD
Ever since Carly and Freddie got together, it feels like the writers don't know what to do with Harper. She was Carly's rock for seasons 1 and 2, but Freddie took her place this season and it just feels like she's just...there.
I hope they find better storylines for Harper..I really like her, and don't want her character to go to waste..wish they would stop doing the typical ones, where she ends up making out wit random ladies and then they're gone by the next season..tired of the lgbt+ pandering they're trying to force wit her character..they need to utilize Harper better..
What happened to her stylist B/C plots? We haven’t seen anything about her career this season. She doesn’t get paired up with Spencer as much. I am not really sure why Carly and Freddie getting together has this effect on Harper’s character because she used to have her own bits and now she doesn’t. Idk I feel like there is more to this struggle than Freddie and Carly got together. I wonder if there has been some changes in the writer’s room that’s negatively impacting her. Plus they are missing out on good bits as well. Since Carly and Harper are in relationship, they could struggle with setting up double dates. Fight over who gets the apartment for alone time. I mean even for this episode. She could have had more of an active role in the FaFuDa. Like really showcase her planning the gathering to fulfill her childhood dreams. And have her freak out that it isn’t going as planned because of everyone else’s drama. That could have easily been integrated into the episode.
That’s why I am wondering if there is more to this than Carly and Freddie getting together. Like maybe the writers that had a better grasp of her character are no longer there. And the current staff doesn’t know what to do. They are very good at established iCarly dynamics. They’ve leaned into Marissa and Lewbert this season and it’s been great. But because Harper doesn’t share the history and can’t really only has a connection to Carly, they seems to think she can’t really be included in those moments. In the original iCarly, you could pretty much have any type of character grouping because of how intertwined everyone was. But with the reboot they haven’t really established that with Harper, and they don’t want want to put in the effort to build it up. I can think of plenty of ways the show could test/expand on character pairings for Harper’s character. I feel like we are kinda already there with her and Spencer (they just seem to forget that’s a thing). They could expand on her and Freddie. Her and Mrs. Benson should have more moments as she is designing her dress. Plus I think they could make a Harper,Millicent, Mrs. Benson trio. I get they don’t have a lot of episodes. They should get more. I need these streamers to understand sitcoms need more episodes!!! Why they are given the same episode orders as dramas is a crime!!! They deserve at least 16 to 18 episodes. I mean 20 episodes should be the minimum, but streamers want to be cheap bastards. I pray the writer’s strike will do something about that.

I think Gwen may not have seen the livestream because she works out in the middle of the ocean? That was my reasoning at least, because I wondered the same thing.
I loved this episode! It was so sweet to see everyone’s reactions when they thought Carly was pregnant ☺️ especially Freddie and Spencer’s! 🥰 they were over the moon

If Carly gets pregnant, it should be after her and Freddie tie the knot. The pregnancy thing would definitely be fun to watch it all play out, but to do it now would be far too soon. Let Creddie grow and build over time and have them get married first. Preferably in a traditional marriage ceremony. If Carly gets pregnant now, it would feel , at least to me, that everything would be seriously rushed, and their decision to marry might be based on the pregnancy. Just my two cents!

Carly’s character in the revival is interesting…
She was essentially the normal one or straight man to the rest in the original
But in the revival she’s still the straight man in some cases but now she’s not reeling Sam in control or contrasting her, Freddie and her while still friends in earlier seasons don’t have the same dynamic of him following her around and pining for her and now they upped their flirty interactions up to 11 now they’re together, she’s more ok with Spencer being Spencer etc so she blends in with the colorful cast more which can be good or bad
So the writers leaned more into her more unique traits like she’s the more positive one, they’ve shown her claustrophobia more in shorter time, she doesn’t know a lot about or feel comfortable talking about sex, doesn’t have the best picks in boys (outside Freddie), and so on. They have leaned more into her doing things without fully thinking it out more which is where a lot of the conflicts have been which in one way is stupid but is also part of something that probably didn’t get talked about enough but Carly can be pretty selfish and tunnel vision at times, like this season alone had the whole happy to have Freddie back as soon as he was dumped and donating tinsleys gift almost immediately.
I do think that without characters like Sam and Freddie to be the middleman for the group Carly isn’t able to show her voice of reason at times which shows some smarts but mostly maturity, and this episode with Millicent shows that
As for her intelligence I think Carly’s still smart but what she knows isn’t as useful as before, like she seems pretty good at the social media stuff but she leaves the tech to Freddie, Harper she goes to for boys and fashion and such, Millicent for the younger audience opinion etc as in the original Sam and Spencer weren’t that book smart and Freddie while smart wasn’t like a straight a student so Carly was seen as the smart one but I think she wasn’t super smart in the original just was good at school as one of the main things is that she was pretty good at actually doing her homework and studying. Carly’s still smart but her expertise in social media stuff doesn’t help in a lot of the situations in the revival, and things like tech being even bigger than even back in the original can have characters like Freddie look smarter
Oh and maybe just me but they have leaned into the puppy love/honey moon phase with Carly and Freddie super hard like she’s totally into him which does match how into him she was in the original when they dated there but she was nowhere like this with Wes and Beau, which while cute and funny does make Carly stupidly in love lol which doesn’t help in her intelligence portrayal

I liked this episode and I can see Carly getting pregnant in the last season of the show. Therefore, I think that there could be a fourth season , with a Creddie wedding , and a fifth , and final season with Carly being pregnant and having the baby.
I really hope they end off the series like that🥹🥹❤
This episode was very hilarious. Even Spencer was the best boy, but in this episode you can tell Carly and Freddie did it😊😊
I think the reason Carly's airheaded nature is being focused on so much in this season is because the dynamic is just so different from the original show. Carly was always portrayed to be the straight-man while Sam, Freddie, Gibby, and Spencer were the comedic backbone. That's not to say that Carly can't be funny or silly, but I believe its fair to surmise that she was always the most "normal" of the cast. Now with Spencer becoming more self-aware, Milicent being more sarcastic and jaded as opposed to silly, Freddie seemingly not having anyone but Carly to bounce off of, and Harper just being there; there's alot more slack that Carly has to pick up. I don't mind it personally, but I do think Harper could do more to help fill in the void that Sam and Gibby left.
As the show continues, I'm hoping we get a more fleshed out bond between Spencer and Paul. I think they're both cool characters, who could have an interesting dynamic when paired together.
The scene with everyone having a meltdown over Carly being pregnant made me laugh so hard my stomach hurt. 😂 I’m so happy the show still has that same comedy we once grew up with
It’s my thought that Carly after so many years around Spencer who is admittedly a bit of an airhead, he is simply rubbing off on her, plus it is quite common when out of school to forget things you were taught and learned. I honestly prefer Carly in the revival. In the original, she got A’s sure but it's much harder to keep that up in high school and college. It's also important to remember that science does not seem to be of interest to Carly.
I am very intelligent but had to be tutored in math all through junior high and high school because it just never stayed in my brain. All I'm saying is I think there is plenty of reasons why Carly is a little more ignorant now. But I think you are probably fixating a little too much on it.
Fair point, and it’s shown to create a good dynamic between Freddie and Carly.
@@ThirdWind exactly they also don't need Carly to play straight man (woman) to Sam's extreme personality anymore which was a very big part of how they wrote her character in the original.
I think Carly talking to Millicent about her feelings and leaving Seattle is an easter egg and a throwback to when Carly was going to Yakima against her will in the original iCarly.

About Carly and intelligence... not so much.
I mean, Carly always had this "goofy spark" on her, even in the original S1.
It just grew over time.
I kinda have the headcanon that actually Carly's book smarts and good grades in S1 were more because she took efforts to get those grades up for that personal goal.
But eventually, once she grew comfortable with iCarly, and became more appreciative of Spencer's childishness (if you take the Christmas episode as canon), she embraced her own "goofy spark" 😊
And since she was already feeling happy by pursuing the entertainment world, she put her studies aside 😅
7:08 Being a straight A student is not necessarily != equal to total smartness in real life situations, which is actually very realistic.
The show has *everyone* retaining their classic brand of dorkiness while having their own flaws, especially Carly. It's weird because her "perfect girl" characterization from the OG has also been criticized by Seddie fans in favor of their ship, but now Carly's follies/silliness reflects her head-over-heels devotion to her man Freddie. Homegirl is legit whipped. :))
It's also a breath of fresh air that throughout this season both Carly and Freddie just *compliment* each other so perfectly (as it should be) compared to most girlbosses in modern media who disparage male characters any chance they get.

I'm surprised Millicent didn't already tell Gwen about Freddie and Carly. I assumed they were in constant communication, at least through texts. And did Gwen not know about Pearl, even though they were together for almost a year? I get how a new relationship for Freddie could make Gwen concerned about Millicent's ecosystem, but she knows Carly very well- they even vacationed in the Galapagos together! If anything, she should have been concerned when Freddie was with Pearl since she didn't know anything about her 🤷♀️
Yes! I said the same thing. Honestly I felt like episode 9 made it seem like Gwen was a bit of an absentee mother... Like you said Freddie literally dated Pearl for a year. How did she not know about that?
@@crusemina2653 I don't know why Millicent gives Freddie, Carly and the others such a hard time, they all do such much for Millicent and she is always snarky towards them.
@@jeremythomaswebb1485 I think it's a defense mechanism to keep herself from getting too close to someone for fear of losing them. If you think about it, she hasn't had much stability in her life thus far-- losing her biological father who she was probably close to, her mother getting remarried then divorced, then being sent to live mostly with this new step/ adopted dad and only occasionally getting to see her biological mother. It makes sense for her to be a bit stand-offish. But obviously she's come to love and feel accepted by her newfound family and her actions show it despite her words.
Also the age difference between Millicent and Carly/ Freddie is similar to the age difference between Carly and Spencer. In season 1 Millicent was 10 or 11 and Carly and Freddie were 26 going on 27, so they were only 16 or 17 when Millicent was born (so either Gwen is a bit older than Freddie or she had Millicent when she was very young). Carly and Spencer are about 13 years apart (Spencer was 26 in S1 of the original and Carly was 13 I believe). So it makes sense for a blended sibling/parental relationship to form.
@@TheInvincibleMJ I have thought about that. Millicent's actress was born back in 2010 when the original iCarly was still running. So Gwen must have been in her late teens when she had Millicent as she is roughly the same age as Carly and Freddie.

And I agree, I hate that they dumbed down Carly's character alot in the revival, especially this 3rd season..like I don't mind it here and there, but it seems like that is her whole character personality 🥴😑..I don't mind if they do random kooky stuff for the show, but I wish they would have more balance and also have the characters act more serious for once, and not just be a show with bunch of random kookyness all over the place😅..but eitherway I love all the main cast and the show alot..I still have to get use to the Tinsley(Harper's girlfriend) character, I still dont really care for her character at the moment🤔, i cant stand that accent her character does😅..
This episode is an improvement upon the previous though if we talk about dumbness. The previous episode, they dumbed down all the characters to an upsetting degree. I really didn't mind Carly on this one. And this episode was really good and funny. Spencer screaming his way to Mrs. Benson as sooo damn funny😂😭
I think without Sam in the picture, they need to give Carly a more attention grabbing personality. She now reminds me of Jess from New Girl and honestly, I personally don’t mind it.

I like this episode, but I think Harper's arc needs more expansion.
Hope for a baby in the future
I like the direction the show is going. Harper and Spencer could become roommates if Freddie and Millicent move in with Carly. They have a great dynamic, and their scenes are always hilarious. Gwen's attitude could be based on work stress, and making sure her kid was ok.
Glen has alot of nerves, its probably not so safe to rase a teenager on a marine science expedition boat (its not a cruise ship ) you could make a argument that she abandoned millcent

C’Mon Gwen let Millicent stay with Carly and Freddie and give Carly and Freddie’s blessing. And Carly and Freddie still loves each other still together. And was that a Walmart plus on that box? Why did Lewbert put bugs at Spencer’s place? iCarly iHave a Proposal can’t wait to see it and hope Carly and Freddie get engaged to be married.
i love this reviews. i dont agree on harper thought. for me she is a important character that would be weird to not be there anymore.i dont think she has an awkard spot at all. she is an important character for the show imo. (kinda more then spencer or millificent) just as much this season, as before.
Carly has definitely been dumbed down a lot since the beginning of the revival & I don’t like it. She had blind spots in the OG but she was still intelligent this version is just seems so uneducated.
Spencer is a great dad figure for Carly. I was surprised but not mad that he didn’t attack Freddie for touching his sister. Also Spencer running & screaming is definitely a callback to the OG in “iQuit iCarly” when he saw Carly dangling from the window washer’s platform.
Harper is criminally under used. She came in strong in the first 2 seasons but now she’s like a back round character & I hate it! I really love her character & hate not seeing her in her full potential. Maybe because the actress is also working on “Lopez vs Lopez” & just didn’t have time but if we get a season 4 I want more Harper!
Gwen just accepting that Carly & Freddie being together & everything else after her blow up was sooooo unnatural. I wish they would have dragged the storyline out in either a hourlong episode or a 2 parter it felt rushed.
Lewburt & his bugs grossed/creeped me out! I’m not good with creepy crawlers so seeing them & especially the one on Jerry’s face…I couldn’t even I was with Carly running & screaming.
Yes! Carly really seemed much more mature in the original and now she is so childish compared to even her late-teen self. She wasn't like that in the first season of revival either and I really don't like where writers going with her and that they're dumbing her down to create more jokes.
High school Carly would have never questioned the need to recieve high school diploma, seriously

I think the writers thought up the "secret grandparents club" and had to have Spencer say the wrong thing to make that joke work.

I, too, was wondering how Gwen didn't know about Carly and Freddie's relationship already. She says she has internet and email where she is. Does she not have Facebook? Or, like you said, did she not see the stream where Carly and Freddie ended up announcing their relationship? Even if she didn't watch it the first time, you'd think someone else might have mentioned it to her, or she might have seen it floating around on the internet like things sometimes do. I did think it was cute, though, how once again Spencer shows just how close he is with Freddie and his family by calling Millicent his niece. He also seems to be getting along better with Lewbert and Marissa now, too. I mean, maybe it was just a comment to get them to stop arguing, but he invited them to move in with him. He is also taking care of Lewbert's insects now, too.
Also Carly and Freddie announced publicly online in a iCarly Live Stream they were dating now. And news on the web travels fast. How can Gwen not pick up on that at this point?

@@moiii_01 I'm not saying Gwen is interested in Freddie but at the very least she would be aware of Creddie happening regardless if she's interested or not. She acts like in this episode that this is the first time she's heard about it.

Man, did I overthink this episode and it ended up being something I never thought it would result in. It was a fun episode though BUT it seems in the editing room, the Final Cut released became too short of an episode to me.
Also, Harper again suffers in this episode which sucks. There’s more to process but I’ll figure out later what to say.

Maybe we’ll know it in the finale? The cast said that there will be a cliffhanger where they’re gonna answer some questions we’ve been waiting for years so it could be related to that and everything happens for a reason, like past trauma, rejections etc..

I kno it’s a show, but anyone else think Freddie should had gotten a DNA test for his daughter? She doesn’t look like she could be related to her dad Freddie or her mom. I would think more Harper would be her mom.
