Nice work! I’m just now walking in Fukui prefecture for acrossing Japan from the north tip to the south tip as you did but opposite. I am cheered up by knowing there is the person you doing same challenge, thanks.
i look fwd to ur weekly releases. This one like its predecessors did not disappoint :) awesome stuff alan. what app do u use to practice your hiragana?
That's very kind, Ronnie, thank you! For hiragana and katakana I just used the JapanesePod101 RUclips channel. But bear in mind, I didn't study how to write, only read.

QUESTION OF THE WEEK: What animal do you think those skeletons belonged to, how do you think they died and how long have they been lying there? 💀
With the fur, size of the carcass and jaw bone my pick would be Canine.
I hope the algorithm picks up your videos asap!
Already Alan Booth hated walking through tunnels 40 years ago... Seems nothing has changed for the walkers :-)
Hahaha it is horrible in every way!
Same here...when walking up and down the North Cape, so many and very long some 7 km... dungeons and takes so long to walk through.
Each episode keeps getting better and better! It would be amazing to see you go back to Japan in the future and see the journey you would take. 😀👍
That's the plan! At one point I mentioned another route I could do, and I'm still keen to do it one day.

Amazing!!! Well done for getting so far already! I hope you are enjoying yourself as much as I did 🙌
Did you edit on the road, or do it all when you got home?
Jesus, no, I did the editing when I got back home. I didn't want to carry a laptop around.

@@LetsTrySomethingNew thx for the reply. i meant the app that u use on your phone that we occasionally see when you talk about your streaks? :)
Oh, I see, haha, that is called Duolingo and is a general language learning app - you can use it for many languages.
@@LetsTrySomethingNew awesome thx!
Woah that’s a very yakuza tattoo!
Yeah, he said people always think he is Yakuza 😂
another great video :) it's amazing how generous are the japanese people
That's a yakuza tattoo
He said people think he is Yakuza, but he isn't 😊
@@LetsTrySomethingNew Ohh. But if the yakuza find out he's wearing tattoos like them, wont he be in trouble?
I don't think it is an actual Yakuza tattoo. In any case, he seemed very open about it. I did ask him if it was ok to share the picture.
@@LetsTrySomethingNew oh alright then. Nice video man

This was filmed last year - I didn't have the time, equipment or energy to edit on the fly. Next time I know not to worry about the camping!
@@LetsTrySomethingNew fair enough thanks again for sharing and respect on masterig the langue
Not sure I would use the word "mastering" 😂. But thank you!
