Great, hope I’ll find a way to do that on the road as of now I don’t have a setup inside ... Maybe 2021 corona is killing everything 😢 Appreciate the input big time 😎
Hi Taren, I'd like to use the Covid "downtime" to also put some bike work in. Is there any equivalence to an HR/RPE version of this for those of us without a power meter? I can do with power on zwift (or similar platform) with that available but would prefer to do it outside if possible given the largely empty roads and "decent" weather.
@@EatMyPropwash Thanks, I think I'll suck it up and do the weekday bike sessions on the turbo and then enjoy the long bike and runs outside. Looking forward to the pools opening in a few weeks here in the UK, so might have less time to get out on the bike during the week anyway now.
I lost about 60-70w on my FTP this week because the temperatures outside are staying above 40 degrees, even at night, and the AC just can't keep up and bring it below about 27 indoors. Is there a good chart to convert FTP under ideal conditions (say 20 degrees and 35% humidity) to whatever you'll be riding in?
If you're training at 40c train at your new FTP and when the temperature changes re-test, do a shorted ramp test more regularly. I workout first thing when the temperature is coolest here.
I ride 3 times a week sometimes 4 1. 40miles race pace 18.7 mph 2. 60miles cruise usually around 18.0 3. 40miles crush it 20.2ish I use mph to judge progress ??? Thoughts
@@dcolum23 if Chris froome, or anyone who is pursuing a strong 1 hr power (this is ftp, essentially) they should be riding their bike more than 3 days a week. The more time you spend on the bike, the faster you get on it.
Still a lifetime goal to compete in a Triathlon. Love these videos!
Thanks for a great video. Good to have you back training. Hope Pitie is getting over his demons.. patience...
FTP test is so helpful in knowing where you at. Great video
I'm only 17, just getting into Triathlon (have a sprint in 5 weeks) I can run and swim well, but my cycling sucks. Super excited to try this out!
Good news: in my experience the cycling is the easiest to improve. Just ride a lot
Thanks for the video! FYI a lavalier mic would help cut out that outside noise and save you time!
Where can I fit in my interval & long runs while following this plan?
Are you going to post this 12 WK plan?

FTP: It's usefull within a training structure, towards a clear, defined goal.
Hi Taren! Great advice! Can i download this sheet anywhere? TNX
Taren, do you change (lower the time) in the long ride during the rest weeks as well? (3,6,9,12)
Is there a difference if I do 5 * 9 min for the week 10 & 11 Tempo workouts? What would be the potential benefits / down sides?

Mph doesn't mean shit.. there is wind.. elevation... or do you ride perfect conditions indoors??
not enough gap between what you are attempting to be easy/mod/hard. easy is easy & hard is hard. go to the end of each spectrum
Warm up times?
Was it 2 weeks off?
Pinotti has a good one on zwift
Peanut93 too!
Does anyone know of a quality budget tri suit?
Try Decathlon if you have that store in your country?
First!
Ftp building on 3 days a week... Perhaps if you are untrained, otherwise with 3 bikes per week your ftp will go down.
what would your approach will be if you are fairly trained?
This is old head thinking
