Unfortunately not much history there I'm afraid, I don't think anything beyond t6 existed, but haven't looked into it in more detail. At least Neptune and Mino existed on paper. But yeah, HE-spamming smoke cruisers, sounds good, low torp loadout and slow reload should balance that nearly at first glance.

Hmm, from what I remember, Surrey was supposed to be the third or fourth ship of the Norfolk class, but was cancelled. Which confused be a bit tbh, I wonder why they didn't just use Norfolk in the first place, but I haven't looked into the details, maybe they needed a setup that didn't match.
Tier V and VI grind Is painful AF... Big ships with no armour and not good enough dpm... Range Is also bad... It's taking so much discipline to not Just free exp through 'em Hopefully the Surrey Will be a different animal
I don't quite understand why some of the British CLs have more ship hit points than the same tier British CAs... Belfast more than Surrey, Edinburgh more than Albemarle.
Everybody knocks the Hawkins..I ground her and the Devenshire working on the Surrey..great HE..since I've played the Exeter,London,Cheshire so I have the hang of them plus I play them like my Belfast
I don't think she's going to be a pure damage dealer like Hindi, but more of a hybrid - she's got some support capabilities, with hydro & good AA, some offensive chops with smoke / torps / fires, and the AP devastates light cruisers. Not an easy ship to play, from my first impression. We'll see.
He kinda works on the light cruiser line, although the AP skills may be a bit wasted for the 150s, but the improved mist weaver definitely works. Personally, I'm assigning him to Warspite and Hood, since I've already got a levelled commander on the Mino.
To be fair, that's the official distinction from the naval treaties. The British were quite religious with sticking to the rules, and only used whatever weight they had left after guns, machinery and everything else.
@@FunandGameswithTerry Yeah that’s pretty much why the County class had a significant amount of issues. The British wanted to build them large, but still wanted to adhere to the treaty tonnage limit.
Heavy cruiser as he spam is bad as seen in japan line Cheshire is passiv support for skirmish/ teamplay, techtree doesnt come to that supply / aa at t8 Very useless line sold the t5 after 2 games 😂
Yeah, I haven't played with the AP at all yet. As with the BBs, there's a temptation to always use HE, so it'll be interesting to see how they compare.
In my opinion the new british cruisers need a buff. Whether it's reload time or range.

Yes, that's a pretty tall order. Different ship though, Mino is a DD, we'll see how they hold up

I haven't tried anything yet, but the Exeter wasn't bad at T5. I suspect a lot of people will probably free XP over the earlier tiers anyway.
