I’m having same issue,we bought one new battery a few months ago, but with 2 older batteries still in truck it seems like we need more juice. I should have replaced all 3 but these darn batteries are expensive. 170.00 ea. thank you for your video. Dave
I purchased an inexpensive digital battery load tester, so you can really tell what the actual capacity of the battery is. I'd use a device like that to make sure your batteries really need replacement.
that is hard to believe especially since the problem began after the tank was changed. Maybe a bad battery "connection" because these INTERNATIONALS have some of the computer feeds come right off the battery terminals with separate fuses, and they are known to corrode and drop voltage to the electronics. Also a big thank you for using a lapel mic
Good luck! It's a great machine, but like any big truck, some parts can be expensive when you need them. I'll be glad to answer any questions, and share my experience, but I don't claim to be an expert.
I have a 4300 it won’t crank to start I didn’t let the gauge cycle I just stared the truck up instantly and it was about to start and half way stopped I got tech out and checked everything and nothing I got a spn 1081 fmi 9 code
SPN 1081 FMI 9 is indicating a problem with the EGR Valve Position Sensor. Here are some potential causes for these symptoms: EGR Valve Failure Wiring or Connector Issues - A poor connection could lead to the FMI 9 error code. Sensor Calibration: The EGR valve position sensor may need calibration or replacement. Exhaust System Blockage

owning equipment is like this. Constantly chasing ghosts.
Barry, thanks for the info. You do an excellent job at explaining your solutions.
Thank you!

Yeah, the symptoms made me think it was air getting into the fuel system. That one was not obvious. A new set of batteries seemed to fix the issue.
International = Lifetime migraine 😢
Thanks for sharing. My son just bought 2017 4300 and i plan on doing as much maintenance as possible. I got a ? If available?

Yeah, thaes batteries have to be used to be maintained. If they sit they die.
