Hey, some tips on your build. Cross Slash final link rune setup: Grand Approach (Origin), Persistence (Source), Smash (Source), Convert Fire, Spell Activation on Hit, ( Optional Maximized DMG Increase (Origin) or Ignition Explosion (Origin). Flames of Death final link rune setup: Fire Penetration (Verity), Ignition Explosion(Origin), Extract Energy(Source), Spell Activation on Hit, Persistence(Source), Area Effect (Origin). On Fire builds most powerful rune is Ignition Explosion(Origin), Fire Penetration only one link rune that has flat penetration which is so powerful when you start farming high level maps. Persistent Strike needs: Totem Activation upon using Enhance skill -> Weaken Totem(Source) -> Enhanced Totem(Origin) Add extra buff: Seal of Strike(Source) Another big damage boost is to add Illiusion Axe(Origin) with link runes: Extract Energy(Source), Convert Lightining DMG, Continuous Shock(Origin) if its possible add Status Effect Enhancement(Source), Area Effect(Origin) Illiusion Axe must be near by the Flames of Death so you can pick up links: Extract Energy and Area Effect. This season I was doing research on Double DMG mechanics and figured out how its works effectively. Character must get ~25% chance Double DMG, Persistence Strike adds 60% ++, Seal of Persistence adds another ~16% ( Percent may vary on your rune level and Enhance Effect(Source) or Gear affixes which includes Enhance Skill Effect boosts) Main goal is to gain Maximized DMG stats which works like Amplification, so whenever you use Persistence Strike whoever stand in front of you will be annihilated in seconds. PROS: pretty easy to get 100% chance, Enhance skill boost far ahead compared to others. CONS: impossible to get 100% Double DMG chance on casual mapping, highest % would be around 60-70% depends on skill you use. Thanks for your time to read this :D
I’m a little late to the party and also took a slightly different route (went for crits) with the idea to utilise maximized dmg without disabling my crits. I know what I’m about to say is blasphemous to the whole idea of FoD which is to awaken it Verity and no longer get the 360 aoe(fk!!)… but that way you get 100% uptime on your fire energies and if you stack them properly this season you could get anywhere between 10-15(if not more idk myself)comfortably at a whopping 300-450 dmg; and 30-50% fire amp depending on your awakening rolls. I’m in love with the 360 but I’m unsure if the dmg potential here actually outweighs the visual fx of FoD spread. And if yes then which way do I go? Source for conc area link or the duration? The duration seems ok if u get max rolls? Edit: or with the amount of atk speed at endgame getting to 10+ stacks of energies with only 1 extract source for it still easy enough? P.S HELP!!
@@dzhbby actually you can get maximum of 10 energy, FoD awakened Verity can stay in your skill bar without triggering it, it will give passive effect of amp. if you stack Fire Energy with Illiusion Axe for example. so you can use any other trigger you want.
i think it's not what they intend to do)) i suggest you to use it as extra buff and make illusion axe with extract energy to stack fire energy, as a link skill use this new skill Thorn and convert it to fire so you have high dps, if you need clear maps use awakening on 3 projectiles or use boost of solo projectile if you missing dps on solo target. @@dzhbby
I'd probably add Spica relic there's a passive skill that adds physical % damage and maximize damage chance 5% and an active skill uplift that increase attack speed by 50% and damage by 10% which you could enhance by leveling the relic. I feel like you're capping the overall damage with crit disabled but it could still work with persistent strike links and buffs, pretty expensive though. Instead of the bowgun specialization the bonfire specialization could also work. It amplify damage 70% that's huge and ignore 100% armor and element resist every for 5sec every 10th of the skill activated. Same specialization it has close range combat which amp damage by 15%
