Rip has always been one of my favourites. He has more knowledge and memory than 99% of wrestlers of his age.

Just like the best coaches in pro sports are the players who were backups and second stringers, the best wrestling trainers are the opening match workers who studied the art of pro wrestling.

We got ICW on TV in The Parkersburg WV area for awhile. I think it may have been on WDTV channel 5 from Clarksburg WV. It ran opposition to Big Time Wrestling from Detroit on Channel 4 WTAP out of Parkersburg WV.

I remember him from Stampede Wrestling. Goldie Rogers is another pro wrestler, whose real surname isn't Rogers, whose real name is David Sherwin I remember. Unfortunately, Goldie Rogers is no longer with us. He died on July 20, 2012 according to his Wikipedia profile.

I pretty much grow up watching Pro wrestling
For about 35 years. I’ve never heard of Rip Rogers. Was he a Ham and Egger?

I like hearing about Rip Rogers boxing career. He briefly taked about Eddie Sharkey setting up boxing matches. Here is the an interesting story about Jeff Warner. He wrestled as JW Storm in WCW and WWF. Most of his were bogus fights. One guy they got from homeless shelter and fought under different names. Another guy fought him four times under different names and travel to shows together. www.hack-man.com/Wrestling/NewsArticles/20000319-ShadowBoxer.html
