The EFF is simply cleaning itself out like the ocean. For as long as they keep their structures and branches on the ground intact and maintain their image as the go to political movement for the racially and academically marginalized people of South Africa then critics and enemies will find it difficult to ever collapse the EFF. Losing careerist leaders at the top structures is not automatic suicide as long as the remaining leadership continues to engage and agitate the ground.
