i just picked up a 93 mule 500 as a project and ran into your channel. i love what your doing and i like that you go by the book. i watched all of your videos on the mule and its very helpful on my trouble shooting issues. keep up the great work and helpful informations. i am currently running into an issue on my mule. im having a hard time shifting into gears. i read that its an idle issue. i was able to bring the idle down and shifting goes in a little bit smoother now but it's still grind and it shuts off. my governor springs are loose. would you mind providing the website where you got your parts. amazon and ebay doesnt have much. thanks in advance!
Thanks for the kind words! Glad you liked the videos. I got a lot of my OEM parts from Babbitt’s Online, Partzilla, and MADD Parts. Good luck with your project and the mule. I ended up selling the one from the videos to a friend to use around his cabin snd he loves it.
Why didn't you show replacing the crankcase cover. Getting the gears meshed and the governor lever positioned are very critical. otherwise excellent walk through of how to repair it. Thanks.
@@budgetprojectsbydavid5263 No, what you used to make the cross-hatch on the cylinder wall. Abrasive "berries". Used in some cases where a cylinder hone isn't needed. Doesn't take the place of a hone though. Nice work!
Ahh, yeah. I said piston, but meant cylinder. That thing was fun. Wish i had another project like that. I keep searching for those on fb marketplace, but apparantly the mule 500s are pretty rare.
