YESSS. This video is GOLD. Thank you Jennifer O brien. Loved how you put on things that normally arent mentioned and you went into enough detail. As a tourist, the details really help us out a lotttt
I'm taking a 3 week trip for xmas/new years! I've been watching a lot of your and Sarah Funk's videos. Thanks for all the helpful tips! Especially the pizza ones! lol
Julian Ramirez oh that sounds amazing! Yes love collaborating with my friend Sarah she’s great! So glad they’re helping- omg I love pizza! I’m thinking of doing a pizza series too in the future...
I have been there on 13 th Nov 2018 it was really amazing experience and I loved your all videos and was very helpful before I travelled NYC it was the only things that helped me to roam around. So thankful to you.
Great video! Loved it. DUMBO looks amazing. I look forward to exploring it very soon and will check out the 13 things to do that you highlighted in your video. You are very talented and I always enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the great work.
Loved making this guide to DUMBO, like my Guide to SOHO video, should I do another neighborhood guide, which neighborhood? Downton Manhattan or UES or UWS or Williamsburg? Thanks for subscribing and engaging with my videos!
Hi Jennifer, in one of my trips in NY I discovered a cloyster in 799 Fort Washington Ave. This place remind me a typical medieval italian cloyster that I never thought could exist in a town like NYC. The park all around is a quiet place and I loved it because is a not so touristic place , but I'd like if you could visit it for us. Thanks
Thank you so much for watching and exploring some of my favorite places together like the yes sign and pebble beach! We need to hang out again soon and explore more! :)
Thanks you for all the information that you sharing with us. I am exciting because in April I'll go to NY for first time and DUMBO is on my list. Greetings from Honduras.
excellent video as always, I love ... I was glad that you were careful with those stones and that they would have hurt you. excellent day and blessings. regards
Although I have been to the US twice before, I’ve never been to New York. It is however high up on my list so a trip there will be on the cards at some point. Once restrictions allow I’m going to be living somewhat of a digital nomad lifestyle and at some point New York will be getting a visit. I’m sure I wouldn’t be disappointed!
Hey, great video! All your videos are extremely helpful. Thank you!! Can you please temme what is the location you're standing in at 2:25 and how to get there?
Omg! I have been binge watching all your videos. Thank you !for your reply regarding best way to get to queens? I have another question if you don't mind. are there any good places for brunch in this DUMBO area? looking for a chic brunch place for mothers day. it doesn't have to be in this area , it could be anywhere in Manhattan as well. Thank you!
Oh yes happy to help! Brunch in Dumbo, I LOVE River cafe, Celestine - 1 hotel, and the one featured super quickly in the intro here was Cecconi's in Empire stores. :)
Yes, unfortunately the rock gym is currently closed, but there are still great things to do in the area and beautiful walls of graffiti and of course great food to eat! :) Enjoy your visit! Let me know if you have any more questions!
Where can you get on the East River Ferry and how much do you need to pay?? I heard it’s no longer in service (?) but this video is pretty recent. And does it make stops along the way??
I definitely recommend sunrise, it’s quieter and easier to enjoy taking photos and walking it! The earlier the better, there will be less people! The photo we took that I included with no people was taken at about 7am!
Slight aside but the first time I tried Cannoli in NJ... Can't get them in Wales! Absolutely the best dessert I've tried. Without being overly sickening with flavours being over the top.
You can walk across the Brooklyn Bridge or take the F, A/C or 2/3 subways there or the Ferry, more info at about 1:08 in the video! Thank you so much so glad my videos have been helpful! :)
@@Jenniferobrien thanks a lot, I been there already and back in my country. Your video made my trip in NYC a lot easier.. Really appreciate it. Looking forward to visiting NYC in 2 years time.
Nice. Haven't been over there in a long time. Yeah, skip the line at Grimaldi's. They had a little problem with the Health Department anyway. Too bad One Manhattan Square is overshadowing the bridge now. It's really obvious from Governor's Island. Have you been over there yet?
Agreed, health department issue too, thanks for the update! Another reason to not wait in line! Yes so sad that it’s overshadowing the bridge! Yes I went to Governors Island about a year ago with my friend Ariel, there’s a video/vlog of it here: ruclips.net/video/Me0mRD_qpc0/видео.html
Fabulous piece. The visuals, the wealth of information, and most of all the woman’s wonderful personality. One suggestion would be to lose the vocal fry in the narration. Would be so much more appealing. Otherwise, kudos.
Do not walk across The Brooklyn Bridge on a hot sunny day. It takes about a half hour and the sun is brutal. You will get fried. Its better in the fall on an overcast day.
@@Jenniferobrien too bad some people are so jealous 😂 you're honestly beautiful (and sweet, unlike the commenter) a pity some people don't enjoy your video. oh well (:
Yeah New York City never used to be sooooooo expensive, but all these wealthy gentrifiers (I would love 2 use negative expletives) who move from California, Oregon, Washington State, Colorado, Massachusetts have made it impossible for born and raised New Yorkers to live here. Only those with old *cough-ish* money can afford 2 live here. Then, when the locals who try to make ends meet have to resort to unconventional ways of making money are arrested. Then gentrifiers try to protest screaming Black Lives Matter 🙄....... its because of you moving to the city they are getting arrested. You're rich mom and dad pay you're rents raising prices making it impossible for born and raised new yorkers to live in OUR city. Then, when feces hits the fan like it is now in NYC you run back to you're state of origin. Rich caucasians you are the cause of all the issues to all the born and raised New Yorkers(who are not wealthy) problems....deep inside you know it. If you don't believe me look at this video this is how real new yorkers feel about you gentrifiers......... ruclips.net/video/RBVptNzeTOQ/видео.html

Julie great question it’s right next to Janes carousel if you search for that on the map, you can’t miss it! Such a pretty area!

Not now! It was the longest suspension bridge in the world at the TIME it was constructed!
Take a pause between your sentences and slow down. All sounds rushed and jumbled. When you are voicing over sounds the best.
