Jaz Coleman hit it on the nail about nobody protesting about war in large numbers. Society is overwhelmed with debt, work, and are exhausted to make a big statement in numbers. People have the power but with the way that current society thinks involvement outside of one's own well-being is very poor. We need a refresher course to remind that things ARE happening and more people need to speak up. I'm one of the worn down folks who believes in change and power in numbers but we need to support each other in making this (change) happen!
After ignoring most of Killing Joke's music after their 1st album and couple of early singles, I'm going through their stuff album by album and they are an incredibly consistent band. They will always be relevant to me now.
I cannot think of a band who have released as many great songs as KJ. Never disappointed with any of their releases. They are unique. Nobody sounds like KJ except KJ!
Yeah I met jaz in prauge in 2003 in a bar had a good few days chatting and he took me for a veggie meal and to buy me some weed. Good memories and a lovely guy to take his time with me
Well--do you mean maybe a specific comment I made about Jaz? You may be right. What I am saying here is that as a band (the music more than the politics) I think they are an unstoppable force.
Timeless & Timely. R.IP. Geordie 🖤

And here we are, 2.5 years after this interview...and the next album 'Pylon' is here, and it IS a monster :)
+figurehead1971 Yes, one of their best ever. Amazing album.
Originals. I can’t imagine life without Killing Joke.
Geordie looking at Jaz like........."Oh God he`s going off on another endless rant now".

Fuck creating singles. last years XXXII album is my favourite Killing Joke recording, as one big great catchy fucker to listen to. Great band.

Killing Joke--the great name in rock--smart, talented, rebellious, energetic, creative, prolific, profound.
Scary shit but they are right on the nail.

What's wrong with nuclear power stations lads? Would you rather be dependant on Gasprom?
Both are bad, with the former leaving nuclear waste that is currently undisposable and a hazard for thousands of years.
Geordie was the fittest one
*MMXII* even.
Well Kissinger is gone. Brilliant. Another psychopath buried.
funny, that ,on another kj clip, you are saying the opposite.
