I believe the mace not being enchantable is actually a sign of it having unique enchants like the trident.
They are drip feeding content, and it was probably easier to prevent mace enchants entirely than remove the enchants from the code for the preview

I would think that if Mojan were to nerf the mace damage, they would either add an upper limit or reduce the scaling.

That or they could give it an enchantment to raise the cap up to its current level, whilst still nerfing it.

I am very happy Mojang is expanding on the armor trims and the pottery sherds. And fingers crossed that they let the mace get unbreaking and mending because it seems a bit difficult to obtain.

@AllredGL I don't think so. Without it you gotta constantly spend time to get more tools. You need a villager trading hall more without mending because you gotta craft a new pickaxe all the time. And nobody would even touch netherite if it could just break

I think it would be nicer to make the hammer difficult to get and not be enchanted with mending so that it isn’t just insanely broken forever think of it like a wonder weapon on call of duty zombies that runs out of ammo it’s hard to obtain but it’s really useful so I think it’s better for the mace to not be a reusable weapon for late game players
@Phoenix-vz8ji It looks to me like they're doing this because the community has wanted more options in combat forever. And the mace cannot be a viable alternative to the sword or axe if it just breaks on you after limited use.

@@timesphere5199 Nah I mean you see the enemy flying towards you and you place a dripstone and dodge their hit
@@drdragdx i mean sure but in order for it to work you need to place it as they land, otherwise they can just avoid it, especially since it doesnt take up a whole block. Since you need to be so close to the landing area for it to work they can still hit you. Using stalagtite would be very hard to pull off. Not impossible but close to it. Honestly lava might be better because either way that garentees they take damage and potentially die
The one thing I'm concerned about the mace is that it might fall into the trident problem of being so hard to get that it might not be a viable weapon in practice, you can't even put Mending on this thing (which I'm sure is just a bug or being unfinished)
still cool that they gave us a weapon that can one hit kill the warden in the right circumstance though

This wind mace should be a special variant and they should add a craftable variant which has no fall damage protection.

Stasis chamber to build limit (delay to 20 secs or smth)
Quickly get down to bedrock level with a pearl or elytra
Summon wither
Wait for the stasis chamber to tp you up
After the wither spawn noise stops and the wither spawns, jump down and crit the wither
This is pretty risky but if you have mob griefing off, its a free nether star

When a wither is summoned in a three-block deep hole in the bedrock, it will sit there until it sees a target or is attacked. Finding the right shape in the bedrock is rare but the bedrock is the same in all seeds. One example is (30,2,9) in the nether. Place the tail at (30, 5, 9) and the skulls facing west.

I used to play on a realm with some mates and the mace would've been so fun. I would speed run the game whenever we reset so I would be the first to get the elytra, I would do this when I was the only one on so no one would know. I can imagine falling out the sky using an invisibility potion and annihilating everyone, would've been so much fun!

I think they should add an enchantment that allows for damage to be done in a radius around the initial victim, that would be so much more fun and so many more shenanigans.
Oh thats interesting, the mace is basically the market gardener from TF2 with some QOL features. Makes me wonder if someone at Mojang fell down a TF2 rabbithole and now wants to have the fun mechanics from that game in Minecraft.

I do somewhat appreciate that they looked at all the Rocket Jumper jokes made with the Wind Charges and decided "What if we gave them the Market Gardener while we're at it?"
As soon as it is officially released I'm changing the sound using an a texture pack and adding it to my server
I really hope they change the vaults back to being reusable per person
All this added stuff is very nice, but ultimately, there's not reason to return to the same vault once you loot everything
yeah like a 30 min cooldown or somin would be reasonible. the loot is so rare lol. defeats the whole purpose of the idea of only needing a couple structures xD
@@silentwisperer Half the loot is enchanted iron armor and arrows. I don't mean a 30 minute timer, I was thinking more like a 12 hour real-time timer, so you have to play for a few days/weeks before it's usable again. There are multiple in one structure, though, so I can see how it's fine.

This new weapon is legit one of my favorite weapons so far
Im more excited to add the trims to my museum than i am for the mace...lol. Neither of them are as good as the silence trim, but i can't have a broken collection.
I hadn't thought about it, but this is a means of making mending optional. Having the choice between unbreakable weapons or more powerful weapons is a fun trade-off.
Wind Blow enchant for the mace would be awesome or equally we could use the wind charge as ammo for the mace enabling us to get at high distances and the ability to use the mace's ability to deal huge damage to mobs. On the potion making side of things we should be able to use the wind charge to make a levitation potion no?
They've added TF2 Market Gardening as Soldier to Minecraft by using the wind charge like a rocket jump, and the mace as the market gardener
I really love how the new armor trims seem somewhat reminiscent of traditional Chinese or Japanese patterns. Like those seen in some warrior murals. It’s fitting because it is a pretty distinct style, and you’d have to be somewhat of a seasoned warrior to win enough trial keys to obtain these trims.
I feel like it could be really cool if they added special enchantments to the hammer. My ideas are "blunt" that increases knockback and "spike" for damage, and maybe they can be the type of enchantment where you have to choose one or the other, so its not TOO op
Eventually, next time you do a snapshot video, could you try for me getting a TC in superflat ? That would be awesome :)
I think a good way to balance the mace would be adding a limit and echantments that allow you to increase the limit, because right now it definitely seems a bit excessive

Sorry for the late reply, but i think that it would be awesome for a heavy core to be craftable into throwable/dropable utillities/weapons.
Honestly they could've done better with the mace design. Making the 'square' part out of 3D like Trident then the stick/handle/breeze rod the usual design of a stick
I think adding damage cap for the ender dragon would be great so you don't one shot it and you don't nerf the weapon
I think that maybe to make this more balanced, falling from a hugh place and criting something/someone uses like 50% of the damage done into damage tooken on the durability
the brush could not be enchanted when it was released but since then we can enchant it so I imagine it will be the same for the mass
imagine get "knockback X" on a mace, and casually push your enemies to the world border.
It would be insane if you could attach a chain to it and swing it around the player
Edit: actually this would be a great idea to implement a new enchant to go with the update like they did with tridents
Maybe they can add levels to it, like 1 being short ranged and 3 being long ranged. However the enchant only works when you combine the mace with that iron chain Edit: this just reminded me of toji's chain of a thousand miles from jjk

I hope Mojang make enchantments for the mace like they did for the trident and the crossbow. And I also hope the breeze rods can be used for brewing like making a potion of levitation.
That windcharge will be really good for elytras in the pe version. Cuz it's a bit tricky to activate it without building up then jumping

my iron farm got broke alot and so I moved the beds over by one block and spawn proofed the area that wasn't, and now thwy fixed it and I'm sad but also happy

i feel like a good addtion to mace would be to ugrade with netherrite. the nerherite version would only inhance base damge
If the mace damage were to be nerfed, it should stun mobs, after you fall from a certain disance. Doing so, will give you time to switch weapons. Falling from a high place is already taking a risk
Hey Silent, did you notice they removed the MoLang Features experimental toggle? It’s wreaking havoc on custom texture packs that add player animations, namely FAnimations Update 5 by FieryAbyss17 which relied almost entirely on the toggle.

There's a delay at times when falling from a high point in bedrock so using the mace at its full potential means certain death

Honestly I'm not too sure about the heavy core item, it seems _way_ too specific of an item when the same thing could have been achieved by using an anvil in the crafting recipe instead
On one hand, I don't like unnecessary items like this with only one use, but on the other it would make the trial chambers way more worthwhile to look for! And having unique items from structures is kinda fun in general

Here's a question for different platforms playing bedrock, can you still see your coordinates, and turn them on?
I am on ps4 and have no ability to know where I am anymore. Try to dig to a certain location without any starting number, any number might be better than you don't need them anymore.
It's in the world settings. Or just /gamerule showcoordinates true
I was on my son's server just after a small update and he had to turn it on. I could turn it off and on in my worlds. That should be available for me to choose if I want them on or off on someone's server.
Ps4 is still different than bedrock on a computer. I build your builds the most because of the fact they work, you pronuniate your words clearly and any layman should be able to comprehend.

I feel like the mace not having enchants is what makes the weapon balanced which I feel is pretty good and unique in its own way so I think it’s only right it doesn’t get enchants

I think it would be better to have a very low chance to get the banner patterns and maybe the heavy core from trial spawners.
Add a little knock back to the mace. Hit mob with said mace. Mob flies off of the edge of your flat world.
Do you think the mace is balanced at it's infinite damage because you can die from fall damage if you miss your attack, or do you think it should nerfed a little bit?
I'm testing out the new 121.Features on a creative world but none of this is popping up for me

How about a channeling mace? Ofcourse a spammable melee weapon that summons lightning is not the best idea, but what if it only activates if the player fall above a certain height, with the user only getting a tiny fraction of the lightning damage or maybe even none at all.

The elytra and mace are going to be such an OP combo, making the elytra even more op than before 🎉
I have a theory that the heavy core will have its own function separate from the mace and in some way effect the players local gravity, making them heavier. This theory stems from the technical changes in previous snapshots which introduced commands to change a players gravity. I mean the fact that they continually allude to its immense density and weight is enough for me to believe this tbh.

Maces have spikey points on them. If anything I'd say the new weapon looks like a "mallet." That being said, since it looks like a mallet, it would be cool if it could be used to turn dirt into path blocks, but you know, without draining durability.

A mace does not necessarily have spikes, a mace is merely a club with a head made from a heavier material for more damage. You've got stone maces made of discs of carved stone, round maces, flanged maces, and yes, spiked maces too. The only difference between a mace and a hammer is that mace is omnidirectional, and hammers pretty much just has the two sides.
We need a wind walker potion using phantom membrane and wind charges allows us to walk up and down into.the air using jump or sneak

Really loving this upcoming update. This is gonna be the best major update Minecraft devs have released in a long time. Wolf variants, the automated crafting table, trial chambers, a new weapon. So hyped!
You should get an achievement for 1 shotting every boss in the game, the ender dragon (end), the wither (nether), and the warden (overworld). it should be called 'That was when I ruled the land'. (Fallen Kingdom reference!!!111)
I just hope that Mojang doesn't just stop adding features while still a few months out like with the Trails and Tales Update.

One shotting a warden with ithe mace should be an achievement because that would take quite a lot of effort to set up in survival lmao def too op against the dragon tho since you can just fly, maybe cap the damage to her with it
This weapon has some serious potential. Imagine Channeling but for the hammer, it causes AoE lightning damage to everything that’s been knock backed.
Would love to see some kind of aim assist enchantment to help with big falls. This thing is basically Mjolnir. Oh yeah… loyalty could even be a thing.

I hope mojang doesnt nerf the mace, i know it has potential to be very OP but at the same time, most people realistically wont build to the limit to try and one hit the ender dragon, warden etc. And even if they did they still need to have the skill to actually land the hit. Whether they do nerf or not i think its an amazing new feature regardless
Next update they'll add a damage cap to the mace damage and make it super fragile or something so that they can just make us hate it
Also, shields are completely broken enemy can literally just hit through them also, they didn’t really list this but there’s a parody changed item durability bar now has the same color as Java It’s no longer outdated.

I wonder if the mob classification update will have to do with passive mobs. I can see wolves really messing up the passive mob cap. Its nearly impossible to get food (beef, porkchops, mutton) in the tiaga Biomes even now with so many wolves and foxes spawning that they're almost unplayable if you need to get food in that sense. This happens with parrots and pandas in the jungle biiomes too and if those are getting wolves in addition thats gpimg to be an issue.
