      ?? the words are actually very similar. Arancione from arancio (orange) and Portocaliu from portocala (orange)

    • @tibork9668
      @tibork9668 4 года назад +227

      The words have the same origin in fact, both coming from the fruit. Portocala is the orange fruit in Romanian and it’s named this way after the country that introduced oranges to us: Portugal

      Ci sono parole rumene che non hanno senso in italiano
      Ad esempio:Păsărică a mamei tale
      È un insulto che dovrebbe significare tipo "Tua madre troia" o qualcosa del genere, mentre letteralmente significa "Vagina di tua madre"

But if you really understand 90% of romanian then what did i write here: Cine citește asta, chiar nu vreau sa fiu răutăcioasă doar mi-am spus opinia și scuze daca am ofensat pe cineva! Spanish not French!!! The grammatical structures are almost the same except for some of them. Also pronunciation rules are much more similar than Italian and French.. French is full of vowels that are written together but we pronounce them with a single sound or also some final letters are not pronounced , while Italian words are pronounced just as they are written. It is true that Italian and Spanish are full of “fake friends” (same word but two different meanings ) that can create confusion in a conversation, but a lot of words are the same and have the same meaning as well.

      @@iulian6859 Not "The old Valachia" but "Old Valach" and not for Bosnia, but for a region between todays Bosnia and Serbia. That would be the more accurate translation into English. In old Slavonic and Germanic languages Old Valach(s) was used to name the Celts and Gauls. And Novi Vlah (Novi Vlasi) singular and (New Valach(s)) plural, was used by South Slavs to name the Romans and all latinised/romanised people of the Balkans. Later the prefix "Novi" or "New" was lost so only Valach remained. Stari Vlah (Old Valach (person)) is still a geographic region from 6th-7th century even to this day in Serbia tho. Valachia was the name that the South Slavs used for Tara Romaneasca. The Romanian historian knew something and was on the right path but just misplaced some things :)

    I would say that for English 9 "nine" and Romanian "noua" and Italian "nove" the Romanian language still keeps to pronounce "u" like the old Latin language did, while the Italian pronounce "v" - so the difference - noua and nove. The Latin language for 9 was written "novem" and pronounced "nouem"
    It's like the Latin "Veni, vidi, vici" which in Latin is pronounced like "Ueni, Uidi, uici". V is the capital letter for U.

      Today there are areas in Europe where an almost Romanian language is spoken. Words from these languages are found identically in Romanian and not in Latin. The Friulians from northern Italy migrated from the Dacia area, the Rhaeto-Romanic language( Romansch ) from Switzerland, the Occitan dialect from Langue d'Oc France. Sardinian language with many similar Romanian words non-existent in Latin. due to the common ancient origin, from the European Thracian people who occupied large areas of Europe and Asia and who had customs and a common language. (Herodotus). This common linguistic background is the basis of the Romance languages and the explanation why in the above languages and dialects there are many Romanian words, non-existent in Latin and Italian today . @@bramantyoprahoro7284 its because romanian had alot of immigrants from all surrounding countries, which added duplicate words to the original latin-romanian words
      so we as romanians know all the latin versions + the turkish, slav, hungarian versions of some words
      but the italians get confused when we put turkish, hungarian, slavic, german words. They make up 11% of daily speaech
      but we can also strive to speak with 100% latin words and they will understand us easier. Its an exercise every romanain school should encourage. To get rid of the word baggage brought by immigrants (which we romanianized. They didnt assimilate us, we assimilated them)

    Romanian is definitely much easier to learn for Italians than the languages of the countries bordering Romania, such as Bulgaria or Hungary. This having been said, Romanian is, of course, a language with its own rules, and Italians also have to study a lot if they want to learn it well.

      @Sun Lover Ribadisco che non sono d'accordo sul "molto più". E' vero che il rumeno comprende anche molte parole di origine slava, ungherese e turca, ma la sua struttura rimane assolutamente neolatina (il suo linguaggio tecnico, peraltro, è preso per il 90% dal francese) ed è una lingua nettamente più facile da capire per un italiano di una lingua slava, dell'ungherese e del turco. Se uno vuole conoscere bene una lingua, e non imparare solo qualche parola per poter ordinare un caffè al bar, deve impegnarsi allo stesso modo sia con lo spagnolo che con il rumeno.

    Me as a language learner and enthusiastic I could claim that Romanian is a beautiful language which is worth learning. Every single language has its own challenges because each one is unique at its way of being due to its fantastic history, evolution, cultural traditions and so on. They've been growing and developing as languages themselves. Today I decided to learn this language because of its similarities with Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese even though the language has remained too isolated from the four major Romance languages, because it contains a bunch of influences from Slavic languages such as Russian, probably Ukrainian as well, and also from other ones like German, Turkish, Hungarian, etc. That's why Romanian has a certain amount of loanwords from those languages, not only Latin vocabulary. Its geographic location played a crucial role to keep forming as a language with own identity. After all, it's relatively a straightforward and useful language to pick up. I'm just a beginner at it, and I'm really into language learning to keep on expanding my horizons in a limitless way. It has become my newest target language to take into account because I felt in love with it and I'm gonna dive into that wonderful language to know about its rich culture.

    • @danascully6698
      @danascully6698 9 месяцев назад

      1. Romanian does not contain influences from the Russian language, nor from the Ukrainian language, but from South Slavonic, i.e. Serbian and Bulgarian.
      2. Romanian does not have a "bunch" of influences from other languages. The lexicon of the Romanian language is 81% of Latin origin, 11% of supposed Slavic origin and the remaining 8% of Thraco-Dacian, German, Turkish, Hungarian, Indo-European origin. For example, the French language is much more distant from Latin than Romanian. These percentages are officially established by linguists, not by me.
      3. Thank you very much for your appreciation of the Romanian language. Both the Spanish language and the other neo-Romance languages are all very beautiful.
