I give this album a 9/10, love the production ofc Brent got in his bag, but most important for me being from the DMV I love all the influence in sound and culture from the DMV and how its mixed in very well with his RNB and other sounds. Even going as far to get local DMV artist like lil Gray giving a good verse on theme with the song that sounded great in my opinion. That big mad skit was hella crazy too but if u dated DMV girls shittttt ifykyk. Overall I love this from Brent and its exactly what I wanted from bro
Check Wikipedia for the credits! A lot of heavy hitters! He definitely went crazy on this album. For the amount of features he included, for an independent artist it’s amazing. This album is a lot more masculine than Wasteland for sure. Brent wanted to be a rapper initially and you can tell on this album lol he put his homies on with this album and that’s respect!
Shoutout Brent for putting more light on the DMV artists/producers ‼️ most producers on here from DMV, Lil gray and Cruddy Murda from DC/PG County, ASAP Ant from Baltimore
Track two is sampling Missy Elliott song crazy feelings featuring Beyoncé where they are both singing and it is from her 2nd album the real world. Which also features hits she’s a b****, all in my grill featuring big boi, and Hot Boys. Now I don’t know if these are new vocals with her singing over top of the old vocals or if it’s just the old vocals because it sounds the same. A lot of people don’t know Missy Elliott came from a girl group before her and Timbaland really blaze mid late 90s. So she’s a singer first rapper second.
man that’s why I love Brent like every new project he drops is different. he is always exploring the genre and experimenting and trying new things that work so well and I think that’s what makes an artist a great artist. But tbf I feel like he is dropping something even bigger next year cause the last two songs imo don’t really match with the rest of the album and are more like a teaser for the next project…kinda like jimmy cooks but that’s just me
i will admit that when listening to dmv artists which i am a big fan of now when i first moved there i aint fuck with it but the more you listen to all the rappers from there songs u start to understand why its good
It’s a whole tribute to the DMV sound. Timbaland’s stuff with Aaliyah, Missy’s stuff and the stuff she was producing, The Neptunes’ stuff with Kelis and JT. It’s got all the Virginia production GOATs all over it in terms of influence
Yo sound I revisit the skits still on Wasteland every time I play the album. I doubt I’ll be with this skit. Different evoking emotion, but not replayable imo.
Why do y’all cut damn near 95% of the songs, I understand copyright and what not but it’s like 2 seconds then skips. Not knocking y’all but my personal OPINION it’s annoying. It’s just my opinion tho keep popping y’all shit 🤝🏼

@@ClubAmbitionno he’s talking about Kelis’s first album Kaleidoscope , not Miguel.
The chords immediately screamed Neptunes
I thought the sample was from “U don’t have to call” by Usher?
@Swaveyaye yeah you might be right tbf atleast some of it
In the “Last One Left” Missy is on the hook. It’s a sample from her song “Crazy Feelings” featuring Beyoncé on her 2nd album.
They pissed me off not knowing that was HER song that he sampled lol SHE singing on the hook lol
@@DerraeNicole Girllllll me too 😂 like where’s Missy? She’s singing 😂

The Missy track was one of her old songs feat Beyoncé
That sample is an R&B classic I Belong to You by Rome. First time I heard anybody sample it
DPAT IS A GOAT
Am I the only one getting a Timberland and Justin Timberlake sort of sound out of this album ?
true
And ginuwine & timbaland
It’s a whole tribute to the DMV sound. Timbaland’s stuff with Aaliyah, Missy’s stuff and the stuff she was producing, The Neptunes’ stuff with Kelis and JT. It’s got all the Virginia production GOATs all over it in terms of influence

Cruddy Murda from the DMV
Isn’t the sample for “Best Time” - “u don’t have to call” by Usher? Or are my ears deceiving me 😭
Please review the album puppet master by Jugger. How most people haven't heard of him is criminal.

Yo sound I revisit the skits still on Wasteland every time I play the album. I doubt I’ll be with this skit. Different evoking emotion, but not replayable imo.
