The Drumdums community loves you too Lee, I’m one of them as you know and really appreciate you. As I’ve said before you have provided, much escapism in your content, and videos during these times. It’s been a week for me personally so far however I’m always thankful for those like yourself. Again you’ve got such an intellectual knowledge of the horror classics films, and genres. I’ve been watching horror movies all month long for a means to escape during these uncertain and unprecedented times. Loved The Conjuring, thank for shouting that out, and your Halloween Live stream a few weeks ago was brilliantly engaging. Thank you always....🎃🧡🍂
you would think that switching between Brad Dourif and Jason Miller would confuse people, but it's almost as if the demon was full on transforming over and over again. Really effective
Hey Lee, I have always respected An American Werewolf In London but The Howling was the movie that scared me as a kid. I also think Rob Bottin's work was much scarier than Rick Bakers.
Ridley Scott’s Alien(1979) is a horror masterpiece Aliens(1986) is one of the textbook classic examples of how to make an excellent sequel on the level of The Empire Strikes Back
Great list. My wife said something I think makes sense. Halloween is more romantic then Valentine's day. I mean what's more better than watching a horror movie with the one you love?
When I was a kid the scene in Friday the 13th A New Beginning was seriously messed up. It was the part where the dude wanted to share his candy bar and the guy hacked him to pieces. His character was just so caring and happy and to see him go out like that was traumatic. It's still holds up.
The excorist, Alien and Rosemary's Baby are my top 3 Horror movies of all times. In Alien, the actors weren't told about what was going to happen when the alien came out of the mans body, so all the reactions were real. That scene gets me every time. Thanks great video.
Lee great job as always!! We love you entertaining us in this quarantine. Definitely do a top 10 disturbing list👏🤗. Maniac would be on that. Some ideas: top 10 horror movies you regretted seeing in theatres (waste of $ because they sucked) top 10 movies you liked but didn't like the ending, top 10 greatest jump scare moments, and top 10 most unexpected/creative kills.
@@DrumdumsOfficial during Quarantine, I finally watched Sleepaway camp, Black Christmas(original), and I spit on your grave (all of them). You imitating the breathing from sleepaway Camp was hilarious 😂😂👍👏. That ending was woahhhh unexpected surprise lol😱👀.
Two movies scared the absolute crap out of me when I was a kid: A Nightmare on Elm Street 2, and a movie called Virus (1999). The scene in Freddy's Revenge where Freddy comes out of Jessie really got to me as a kid, it looked so real! And when I watched Virus, it was late at night and I was watching the film in my bedroom. The parts where the machines fuse with human bodies still haunt me to this day!
Omg, today at work I had a patient right beside the Nurses station who couldn’t hear thunder. When I came in, he was already watching AMC channel. During med pass, the Conjuring came on. I was like, dang, he’s hard core! I’d go in there and peek at the tv. Then several Friday the 13th movies came on. The tv was so loud, and you know the score to those films! It was awesome! So loud! His tv was blaring,. The secretary kept asking,”What is that?” I’m like, it’s Friday the 13th. After about three Friday movies I went in again, and he looked terrified! I got next to his ear and yelled,”Do you like these kind of movies?” He said, “Not really.” I asked did he know how to turn the channel and he said no!! I asked if he wanted me to turn it and he said no. Poor old guy watched a horror movie marathon at full blast cause he couldn’t turn it!!!! I laughed all day! Still 😂 priceless!
Lee, I can't wait for you to do a top list for most disturbing!!! Maniac, last house on the left, Texas chainsaw massacre, Hostel & wolf creek would definitely be on my most disturbing list 😂😱
Yes Lee, love that you gave some love to Freddy’s Revenge. I’m a huge fan of that movie, I think despite the films flaws Freddy is probably at his scariest in that film.
Just watched the exorcist for the first time last night. Was shocked by 2 things: the scene where she comes down the stairs upside down (cant imagine how people felt back then in 1973, really creepy) and the language, naughty devil! Great list master Lee, your top 10s are the best thing on youtube
The argument about which was scarier, The Howling or An American Werewolf in London, has always been fun for me as I love both films and both wolf designs. And let's not forget, Rick Baker worked on the wolves for The Howling before handing the reins to Rob Bottin when he left to do American Werewolf. With that said, although I love the creep factor and nastiness of The Howling, American Werewolf gave me nightmares for years; I could only appreciate its comedic aspects more once I hit my teens. Plus the Bottin wolves I always found evil but awesome, whereas the Baker wolf, both in appearance and in sound, still gives me goosebumps to this day.
Yesss the Part III we didn’t know but needed. Love this countdown like always! Love it has some surprises and sequels! Great job. Have you seen the Shudder original Spiral yet? Want to know your take!
I was 28 when Alien came out and I literally came out of my seat with the John Hurt scene. My buddies still laugh at me 41 years later. Lee, thank you so much for your reviews and lists, I know it's very hard work and it's appreciated very much.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974), the exorcist, the exorcism of Emily rose, the conjuring 1 and 2, the Blair witch project, a nightmare on elm street, the autopsy of Jane doe, evil dead (2013), The Ring are some of the scariest to me
I can't remember if you mentioned it in the other two, but The Strangers to me was definitely one of the scariest movies to me. Real people doing these things for the simple reason because they were home.
Tourist Trap mannequins are definitely creepy. And the sound effects freak me out every time. As for the Howling, the scariest part is when Terri gets killed. I was scared shitless when the werewolf got her and the cartoon as playing in the background. The Descent is horrifying just being in a cave. I wouldn’t have lasted and then trying to be still while the creatures are all up in your face.. never would make it. I’m embarrassed to say I haven’t seen Prince of Darkness. I will have to check it out.
Exorcist 3 is a great choice Lee. Love that movie. Scary, psychologically unnerving, fantastically acted (in particular Jason Miller, Brad Dourif, and George Scott all give excellent performances). overall it makes you question the nature of good and evil in our world. I Love it!
The Grudge (2004) and The Grudge 2 were possibly the scariest movies I've seen, I remember first watching em when I was younger and I have never been so terrified after seeing them, everything about those movies are beyond terrifying, the tension, atmosphere etc is really unsettling especially when you encounter the spirits. Same applies for the original movies, Ju-On. there's just something about Japanese horror that I find the scariest in my personal opinion. Also keep up the good work with your content!
Great vlog again Lee. I have 2 movies for you to review sometime. Dolls and The Gate. Both are 80's and never hear then mentioned in all my horror RUclipsrs I watch. 😁😁😁😁
Let the right one in!! Duude! I’ve been looking for that movie for so long! saw it as a kid and the vibe was so weird fsfs but i remember loving it! that’s crazy you brought up the pool scene bc that’s what I remember the most LOL not vividly because thanks to you now I can re watch itttt!!!
The first season of the Exorcist tv show was really good. Not a cash grab at all. Fantastic acting, creepy, good special effects and they were building an interesting story about demons infiltrating the vatican. Top notch stuff!
you mention Tom Holland helping make Psycho 2 a contender. Don't discount the director Richard Franklin. He made that hot off the heals of the Ozzy horror film Road Games. Franklin was a student of Hitchcock's and is a major factor in Psycho 2 being high quality (also DP Dean Cundey). Too bad that this movie seems to be the peak of Franklin's Hollywood years---as if we really need Hollywood. But the next film he made Cloak & Dagger, has its own charms. It's like a kid's thriller ala North by Northwest. Dabney Coleman playing TWO roles...Henry Thomas(fresh from being in E.T.)...Michael Murphy!....football player turned actor Tim Rossovich!! See if you can recognize William Forysthe (Extreme Prejudice, Raising Arizona) play a chubby computer nerd. You're on assignment Drumdums
Top list! Nice to see The Evil getting some love. Exorcist 3 is da 💣. I showed it to a friend recently and it mashed his swede. I found a cool 1981 low budget chiller called The Ghostkeeper on Prime. Great atmosphere, well worth a peep 🤟
I finally saw Sleepaway Camp a couple years ago, and managed to NOT have the ending spoiled for me. How I did that in this modern social media age? I have no idea. But WOW was that an ending!
Beth I sought for the first time 10 years ago and like you, I knew nothing of the ending. A good friend kept pushing it on me without telling me a thing. It really is a gift to not have that ending spoiled.
Yes! Prince of Darkness is so underrated and is truly scary. The music is so unnerving too. And of course what's not to love about The Descent? Still one of the best horror movies of the last 20 years.
I saw this movie called freddie's dead the final nightmare. I was scared to the bone still to this day i can't believe that a francise can fall that hard in just horse shit. One of the scariest days of my life 😂
SPOILER WARNING: I couldn’t agree more about Sleepaway Camp. It’s not that Angela was born as a boy that is scary, it’s just her face and the reveal that is genius!!
All great movies, really keen to check out "the evil" and "Prince of darkness". Ahhh I haven't watched "let the right one in" for ages, gotta re-watch!!! Another great list
Speaking of Brad Dourif, have you seen Dario Argento's Trauma? Brad is in that. If you haven't seen it, give it a watch and possibly a review on here. Would love to hear your opinion on this Argento film.
Another great list lee , I need to check out " the evil " , your right about exorcist 1&3 I have to admit the cast of 3 is great and Brad D. is at top of his game, 1 will always be a legend but my heart is always tempted by 3 lol. I think Jaws would have been good here can't remember if it was another list but can't go into an ocean without thinking about it as a kid even a long deep swimming pool didn't feel safe anyways thanks again for another quality show
Glad you mentioned Psycho 2 get a lot of flack from friends whe. I say it’s slightly better than 1 if you’ve seen the trailer think it’s one of the creepiest trailers made
Will never forget the first time I saw sleepaway camp...prob like everyone else..about 12 years old, sneaking to watch it at a friend's house...that twist...man, stayed with me to this day, and I'm in my 30s!
Yes but lee was going for actually terror not a more polished Victorian piece that was more poetic than scary as a film a great picture but more of a sexually powered film
I know most might not be scared by it. But the first After Dark Horrorfest marathon had this movie called The Abandoned. Directed by Nacho Cerda. It's a straightforward ghost story, but something about it really got to me.
I love Tourist Trap, and I was shocked to find out that it's PG. DeathDream, which is tragically overshadowed by Bob Clark's universally recognized Black Christmas, is another that I'm shocked is PG.
Dead Silence, Sinister, Grave Encounters, The Babadook, Hereditary, It Follows, The Strangers and The Witch are the only movies that have truly terrified me
Wow I was sure The Descent was going to be number one on this list... I have yet to watch it, I have claustrophobia and I fear it might give me a panic attack.
I HAVE SO MANY! 1. Aliens 2. The Thing(1982) 3. The Fly(1986) 4. Hellrasier 5. A Nightmare on Elm Street(1984) 6. It Follows 7. Black Christmas(1974) 8. From Beyond 9. The Howling 10. Creep HM 1. Re-Animator 2. Midsommar 3. The Fog(1980) 4. Cujo 5. The Last House on the Left(1972) 6. The Amityville Horror(1979) 7. Wolfen 8. The Exorcist 3 9. Rec 10. Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors 11. Demons 12. Friday the 13th: The FInal Chapter
I haven’t finished your video but my personal top 5 are 1) The Shining 2) The Babadook 3) Halloween 1978 4) The Changeling 5) The Grudge (Original version)
In Let the Right One In, the relationship between the vampire and the boy is nothing more than the vampire looking for a new Renfield to replace the pervert who is her current minion, which makes her even more sinister. Also in the original novel the vampire is actually a boy who had been castrated before being turned into a vampire.
Friday 13th-Final chapter --by far the best in the, series and Ted White (?)was superb as Jason, brutal and then some ... Howling -- love this film, brilliant opening brilliant middle brilliant ending, love the transformations ...Sleepaway Camp -- not seen it yet although I already knew the ending but have seen the, second which is titled Nightmare Vacation 2 here in the UK ... Conjuring -- brilliant film, James Wan knows how to create an atmosphere and how to pace a film ... Prince of Darkness -- one of my favourite films of all time and one of Carpenter's finest, love the pacing and build up and atmosphere and what an ending ... The Evil -- hadn't heard of it til now but I'll be keeping an eye out for it ... Alien -- another film with brilliant pacing and atmosphere and I love Jerry Goldsmith's score ... Let The,Right One In -- haven't seen it for such a long time but I do remember loving the pace atmosphere and being intrigued by the story ... The Descent -- another one I've not yet seen even though I have it on dvd ... Exorcist 3 -- by far my favourite sequel of all time, another well paced film with great atmosphere and great performances from a great cast and THAT jump scare is the only jump scare that (still) is very very effective
I really love Let the right one in (yes Im Swedish so maybe a bit partial) but I have to comment on something you said about it. I dont think Eli loves or care for him at all, Eli lost her companion that Eli had in the beginning of the story. Eli needed a new one that can help out with being the connection with the ouseide world and the supply of victims. I do think that we are suppose to believe that Eli likes him because Eli needed to convince Oskar and via him also us the audience.
Good call on Exorcist 3! Excellent film.
Meg Tilly in Psycho II is amazing!
The original Black Christmas, Evil Dead and Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the uncut House By The Cemetary, Manson Family, The Exorcist, Saloms Lot, Blood Feast, The Birds and Hills Have Eyes.
Part 3? uhuh Christmas already! Good list brother! Seeing Exorcist 3 our Conjuring is always a must in any scary list.
Thank you brother!
@@DrumdumsOfficial And i add that howling is scarier that AWIL =D amazing effects both but howling is more scarier indeed

Congrats on braving The Exorcist. I believe the spider crawl wasn’t even in the theatrical version.
The movie in itself is not scary, but the last scene in The Dark Night Of The Scarecrow scared the hell out of me when I was a kid.

I love Tourist Trap, and I was shocked to find out that it's PG. DeathDream, which is tragically overshadowed by Bob Clark's universally recognized Black Christmas, is another that I'm shocked is PG.
I liked The Last Exorcism. There were some unsettling scenes in that movie.
And I can recommend Let us Prey! Quite disturbing.
One movie that scared me is pet sematary. Maybe not the whole movie but Zelda definitely did. She still scares me to this day.
Definitely! That was in my part II list.
Dead Silence, Sinister, Grave Encounters, The Babadook, Hereditary, It Follows, The Strangers and The Witch are the only movies that have truly terrified me
Men you are becoming my favorite RUclipsr
Thank you Eric!

I haven’t finished your video but my personal top 5 are
1) The Shining
2) The Babadook
3) Halloween 1978
4) The Changeling
5) The Grudge (Original version)
Very interesting list. I need to see The Changeling.
In Let the Right One In, the relationship between the vampire and the boy is nothing more than the vampire looking for a new Renfield to replace the pervert who is her current minion, which makes her even more sinister. Also in the original novel the vampire is actually a boy who had been castrated before being turned into a vampire.
wolf creek 1 and 2 is savagely amazing
Another good list!
Honestly, I loved Prince of Darkness so much after watching it. Such a great final girl and such great characters.
I do think that we are suppose to believe that Eli likes him because Eli needed to convince Oskar and via him also us the audience.
just saw The Evil for the first time three weeks ago and it is a well made scary movie, but the only thing that was dissapointing was the ending.
