Yes I think the best part of this ride is how they leave you up there for 15-20 sec and let you really take it all in, and give you time to regret your decision XD
You descending at the same time as Kingda Ka's train is perfect timing.
That had to have been one of the best on-ride reactions on Coaster Studios
Top 2 for me are Taylor on Steel Vengeance for the first time (he looks about 12 years old in that video) and their friend on Kingda Ka. They deserve all their subscribers just for those two alone. If you haven’t seen those definitely check them out.
wow its incredible how you were able to get from disneyland to great adventure, record the video, edit it, and upload it all in the span of 5 hours. Impressive!

I think for Zumanjaro, Kingda-ka running is the greatest distraction before the drop!
Does it almost always launch before the drop? Or was this more that they got lucky?

@@brianbarnard6823 that was my assumption by their reactions. Definitely cool. I swear I heard they couldn't run at the same time many many years ago, but not sure if that was ever actually true
@@benisjammin626 The state used to force them to not allow the drop tower to run when Kingda Ka was launching so they had to synchronize departures between the two rides. They removed that restriction a couple years ago.

Ive been on the one at SFMM, and I love how the entire structure sways when Superman cycles.

The actual drop didn’t even feel that forceful, the scariest part was just climbing up so slowly

Drop towers make me feel GP
Before it was removed, Tower of Terror II & Giant Drop at Dreamworld had the same thing with the duelling, and that was 14 years before Lex Luthor/Superman. GD is still around, it's currently getting a big refurbishment, but it doesn't have the duelling aspect with TOTII anymore. Was hoping they would turn it into a Skyjump now they have access to all sides of the tower but aw well XD.
GD is faster then the one in this video, it’s quite ironic hah
Anyone else old enough to remember Demon Drop at Cedar Point??? That was my first drop tower as an 11 year old in 1991. Still my favorite too.

I was just talking to my mom about Six Flags Great Adventure and how my family should go next summer this makes me want to go even more i want to ride Jersey devil,kingda ka,nitro all seem amazing and its awesome how you went from Cali to new jersey

when i rode this in august on one of my rides i put my arms through the grab bars so i could lean over and face straight down for the drop

Iv only seen a pov or to but holy crap iv never realized how tall it actually is, it's insane. I still prefer intense drops of tall drops but this height is shocking.

In my opinion it’s the most force less drop tower, it feels like you hit terminal velocity within the first two seconds, however the lift is terrifying

In my opinion from a pure visual standpoint Superman / drop of doom is way scarier cause you see the single tower unsupported swaying. The thought of it snapping and breaking is terrifying

I did the one at SFMM and the climb was terrifying but the fall didn’t give that forceful tickle in your tummy and balls lmao
I remember this being very underwhelming when I rode it, the drop starts pretty forceful but almost instantly looses all its punch once the surprise of it is over and the rest of the fall felt slow. Idk just my experience

This ride is much better with Kingda Ka running at the same time I don’t find this as forceful as the smaller ones it’s still very forceful though I don’t get that lift out of my seat on this ones drop like I do on some of the others it feels funny when the coaster sways
I got on this once I swear tooo goodness I left the park after.i was like I feel like my soul left my body. I think its time to go home. I rode every ride like 3 times. I couldn't do this one again hahaha.
You could do it , I rode it and it was schslly kinda boring the drop is forceless so theirs no stomach feeling the worst part is going up

they weren't until the past two years!
This might be a dumb question, but how are these filmed? Like, obviously with a camera, but I imagine most parks don’t allow that. Also, trusting someone to be able to hold a camera dropping 400 feet at 90 mph seems crazy. Is there a specific rig you need to use or something?
There are action cameras like GoPros that can be strapped to a person. I assume the big RUclipsrs usually secure permission to do this kind of thing, and the parks generally require the camera to be securely mounted so it won't go flying.
