I JUST FELT LIKE,
1. the first time she rode the train where she's in all purple outfit, it represents her first few years in the industry. she looking at everything in awe, trying to mimic everyone's dance steps because she's still unfamiliar with it
2. the part where she's partying in a black dress may represent her successes being an artist in the industry
3. her with her beat up face and tackling down bad guys may represent the challenging experiences that she had. (haters, rumors, etc) BUT if you noticed, she kept a good smile and I believe it's her embracing those challenges and allowing her to grow through them
4. and finally when she was back at the platform it's like she was initially confused how she got off the train. then a new train comes, maybe signifying that she will now enter her 30s and it's time to say goodbye to her 20's.

Theory: IU is leaving her twenties, and when she reaches the train station there is a board saying "where are you going". The list is about the first and last song she wrote in her twenties, from the spring of twenty to LILAC. On her card it says "departure: HYLAC , destination: BYLAC." This technically means that she is departing from HYLAC (hello twenties) and travelling to BYLAC. (Bye twenties, hi thirties) when she gets on the train she experienced many stuff including friendship, sadness, love and hate."i bear my tears" which means she's sad to say goodbye to her twenties. She then meets friendship wearing a purple suit, the train is full of happiness. After that, there's a scene showing IU fighting strangers which MAY be haters and the food or whatever it was is a music award. She encounters many experiences until she reaches her destination, BYLAC. In BYLAC, we can see she looks scared and lonely, looking around since it's a new environment for her. But she still smiles thinking "it's alright" .

Edit: we can see at the beginning, before joining the train IU is wearing a cute vintage outfit but after reaching her destiny she's looking tired, her outfit looks messed up as well as her hair which tells it was an amazing but exhausting and also interesting journey.
Edit 2: we can see when the train is filled with petals, or its raining petals, we notice the women and other few people are unhappy about the petals. This means "many people hate your success". IU is saying that she was getting more and more successful and many people were happy for her, but like the women were annoyed (they're pictured as haters) haters would still hate. But IU is still happy and smiling which gives another meaning "never give up" or "don't let People who hate your success enjoy your happiness"

She came back from a very poor background, she failed 20 auditions yet didn't give up, she didn't get right after debuting, she faced criticism on her first live performance (fans saying dirty things to her), she faced body shaming and due to that eating disorders (like Jimin), her parents were cheated in business and lost all the money ,so she had to live her grandparents ...she didn't had enough to eat and proper shelter to live. She said she used to stay in her dorms so that atleast she'll have enough food to eat, she started training at a very young age of 15 and had to go through all of this...yet she never gave up. Now she's the top soloist of Korea , youngest philanthropist of Asia...infact she donated in every month of 2020 , she lets juniors practice in her training room for free(which is in her office..which she owns), she's very kind and down to earth, super talented and her songs are really great, she's an actor, singer, host, songwriter, composer, producer, youtuber...etc. She treats her team members -> her band players, backup dancers, manager, bodyguards, make-up artists and stylists as her own family...she performed in their weddings for free. While renewing her contract, she gave up her payment and instead of that she asked to raise the salaries of her team members and give them a permanent job. She buys snacks and gifts for fans everytime she travel to another country and give them to fans by herself. She performed in graduation ceremony of a fan just because she promised. She always supports her junior artists and other artists and help to bring them up (You will get to know this if you see her performances). During rehearsal of an award function fans were waiting outside and it was getting late because of rehearsal of artists was taking longer..she literally brought food and hot packs for all those fans who were waiting (because they were waiting for long and they would be hungry and it was cold..there were nearly 500 fans). She gives more than what she receives, she's known as donation angel in Korea. She's also very beautiful, talented and witty.. she's really mature , the way she sees life , her perspective of things I guess everyone will fall in love with her for that. She's really strong and won't easily give up. The way she shuts her haters shows her wittiness. Also Jungkook told that he's her fan since her debut, when she debuted she was 16 years old and he was 12 years old. So he has been a loyal fan of her since 12 years starting from auditioning with her DEBUT song Lost child (even though it wasn't a big hit compared to her other songs) still continuing being her loyal fan even after becoming so successful himself. He recently covered 3 of her songs Rain drop , You and I... I don't remember the another one. He recommended her song Merry Christmas in advance in BTS Christmas playlist. He had earlier said that he listens to this song every christmas 😭😭. This fanboy story is so beautiful...... I hope they both collab soon

Like you can see , she looks cheerful at beginning because it's her early 20s, when she enters train she observes so many happy people doing things , as if she entered the industry and watching her seniors , some were looking at her as a threat and some were nice and helping and she learns how to own the lifestyle as you can see the clap learning part and

IU's music is so different. They get the views they get because she has mastered a diverse aesthetic and theme that everyone enjoys. She really does a great job with her songs, and her company with her MV's.
They never shy away from telling apart of her story in a way, so it never feels like she is forced to comply and conform to a manufactured or rehearsed setting. It's just a beautiful, enjoyable, free flowing masterpiece.

By "love me only until this spring, I think she means that this spring she is turning 29 so yea I guess she will have to give her 20's a goodbye. I know this cuz my bday is also in May, which is considered spring. She also says something like:
" tell me I am pretty like the first day we met."
That means that usually, fans leave artists that get older( but we won't) and she expects real fans to stay by her side like they did when she was first introduced to them.

I JUST FELT LIKE,
1. The first time she rode the train where she's in all purple outfit, it represents her first few years in the industry. she looking at everything in awe, trying to mimic everyone's dance steps because she's still unfamiliar with it.
2. The part where she's partying in a black dress may represent her successes being an artist in the industry
3. Her with her beat up face and tackling down bad guys may represent the challenging experiences that she had. (haters, rumors, etc) BUT if you noticed, she kept a good smile and I believe it's her embracing those challenges and allowing her to grow through them.
4. And finally when she was back at the platform it's like she was initially confused how she got off the train. then a new train comes, maybe signifying that she will now enter her 30s and it's time to say goodbye to her 20's.
And at the last second when she realized that she had gotten out of the train and the machinist waved at IU, which means "20 year old life train" had passed and IU had to get on the next "train of life", IU looked worried. But then IU smiled and looked at the camera as if believing that all would be well, "Spring is short, but it's comes again" !!

The fight scene symbolize her journey in the industry, you can see a person holding a food in a tray and that might be for "success" but before that, IU first fought before she got the food, it means she fought all the criticism and hardship that was thrown to her before achieving success. She didn't made it at the top to easy, she, a solo artist survived in the industry that is mainly centered in groups. The song lyrics and MV seem to be telling IU's experiences with the reality of fame and fickleness of the public's love, and how vulnerable she feels knowing this truth but still trying to enjoy it while it lasts. In the beginning when she gets on the train she's full of hope and naive anticipation at chasing her dream, she completely ignores the sleazy guy (who maybe represents the powerful agencies and executives in the K ent industry?) checking her out and foreshadows the obstacles she'll face as an attractive, talented young woman. For a while it goes her way, and she's partying it up as she seems to be achieving her dream and the public love her and dance along with her. Then the reality hits her (literally) in the next train car when in order to eat/make a living (the plate of mandu) she has to fight for it through all the obstacles thrown her way like thugs. But at the end she gets abandoned on the platform and the train of fame (the ent. industry) moves on with its next "big thing" that it'll pick up and take on the same illusory journey. This is her fear, and the reality that the public's love for a celebrity is fickle. Despite the bright visuals this is actually quite sad and poignant.
