My question is, when preparing the trial balance do I consider additional information or I only post using the extracted balances from the books and only consider additional information when preparing the trading and profit and loss and the balance sheet?

I treated the difference($200) as expense in the income statement and don't know what to do with the difference in the statement of financial position since we reduce trade receivables by the total provision at the end of the period.
