Really interesting, but could I plead with you to either forget the background music or make it much quieter? It is very difficult for someone with hearing problems to concentrate on what you are saying. I have tinnitus and I’m really struggling.
The impedance of he microphone on my Linux is not high enough and so my voice was much lower volume compared to same music I have been using for 3 years now
Ah! I miss fanfold listings! At my company, we have to print our listings on double-sided sheets of 8x11 copier paper. You can't look at a large section of code all at once :-(
@@moshixmainframechannel I'm going to send an email to the SHARE planning committee and ask them about it. They have had some interesting speakers over the past few years. I think this would be one of the better ones if they can get him.
@@moshixmainframechannel Good point. I don't even know what they did their builds on at MIT. I had assumed (which is of course dangerous) that it was some sort of S/360 OS beyond 1965...
According to Hugh Blair-Smith, the creator of Yul, it ran on a variety of machines, but always naked on the machine, without an operating system. So I most likely couldn’t run it. web.mit.edu/digitalapollo/Digital%20Apollo%20Annotated.doc
@@moshixmainframechannel Thank you for that reference. Very interesting. My understanding is also that much/all of the supporting code from that time is missing. The mission simulator/AGC test stuff is always particularly interesting to me.
I didn’t know the AGC was open source or even available online through github. Thank you for making this video.
You can even play with AGC online! svtsim.com/moonjs/agc.html
The code was found next to the lost tapes, next to the petrified wood cabinets

It's not because that they are beautiful that they are meaningful.
What? I click on a random AGC video and get Skaven Satellite one? Awesome.

I love fanfold and 1403 font
In the font size you can also use fractions, i.e. '...@4.5'
Look forward to having a download link mentioned @40:22 please.
It would be really cool if we could get Don Eyles to do the keynote at SHARE in 2021.
I bet he would come. I can ask him

Margret Hamilton was the programmer * ?? Or am I wrong
One of the many programmers
Ahh..under Linux. I thought for a moment this was on the original YUL compiler....
Where would I run the original Yul compiler

dang ,thats long ass document for reading
But it’s fun
Didn’t Margaret Hamilton write a lot of the code? en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margaret_Hamilton_(software_engineer)
Yes possibly. Don Eyles was certainly not the only one writing code for the AGC
Probably or I am sure she spent a great deal of time sitting at a 029 Data Recorder.
Great ... but I wish I could lose that nuisance looping background muzak!
Well that’s how I roll my rugelach
Where can I get the source code?
Google
I'll give you the link; I have analyzed several parts of it, and shown my analysis on my site.
@@pascalxavier3367 please do. Im interested
I told you how to make the bars green, didn't I? ;-)
