- I have been wanting do to a cello for a long time, I have to admit that I completely underestimated the load of work.
Even if the final result looks simple it is full of small details and precision to have the final piece looking like a real one.
This is an accurate size of a 4/4 Full Cello (5ft tall).
My favorite part is the wood grain texture :)

I’m a cellist!! This looks so amazing!!! He even made the strings and the bow!! 😭😭😭 I’m blown away. He truly is the master of chocolate!! He made the bridge and I was like eeek!! I love this kind of art!! 🥰♥️

Yea but (not tryna be rude)one thing that bothers me about ur comment is that word"talent". I know he started at the age of 16 and the amount of work it took to get here was impossible and i feel that is something that should be credited

As someone who spent years playing a string instrument i am just delighted to see someone making a chocolate cello who obviously has actual experience being around string instruments!! or, at the very least, studied the structure & appearance of a cello to a tee.
From what I can see, either he visited a violinmaker (that’s the correct term for anyone who designs, repairs, or builds lute-group string instruments) in order to see & understand the inner structure of the cello, or he actually plays a violin, viola or cello himself. Either way, he’s awesome for making it true to life for all of us musicians who are watching!!

@@TornaitSuperBird yeah, "luthier" is the correct term, used commonly for almost any plucked- or bowed-string instrument (and the practice of a luthier is "lutherie"!)

whatever picture, description, detail he needs. Then from there it just flows through to his hands. His force
is, he dares doing the impossible.
As a chocolatier I can say that this is just magnificent, it is beyond me how he is able to zone out like this, and create things no one else on earth can

@@zunigairving There are baking schools that specialize in Chocolate. As someone from Belgium and also a chocolate lover. This woud've become my path if I hadn't found something else

@@kaluwaavril326 I love Guichon and his work, but I watched the show and it's a typical American reality show with made up drama and BS. It also focuses more on the contestants and their backstories than Guichon's work... which is disappointing if you came for Guichon. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad show. I just despise reality TV shows 😅

I played Double Bass in Orchestra for 8 years, so seeing a musical instrument made out of chocolate gets me so excited! This is the highest quality creation you have made yet because you took the time to understand how it's built and not look at it just from aesthetics.
As a cellist, I’ve noticed that violins seem to get all the attention! Finally, the cellos are getting some love! This is amazing!
As violinist and goldsmith.... You wouldn't believe me, that almost every violin themed jewelery is cello or something that isn't violin.

As a cellist, I was kinda worried to begin with. BUT this man completely blew me and my expectations away! That was so amazing! My only question is: what does it play like?
And how long did it last?
I used to play strings too & I was very anxious but happily surprised. Either Amaury plays violin/viola/cello himself, or he literally visited a violinmaker to consult. Until now, I’ve never seen any “food” versions of these instruments that look realistic in any way, so this was shockingly awesome to see! I think the pegs were my favorite part 😊

That’s so cool! I play cello and this is my first year of orchestra! We have 4 cellists (including me), a lot of violinists and one bass. How long have you been in orchestra? (if you’re comfortable with saying)
I've been in an orchestra for 2 years now and trying out for one of the (string) orchestras that represents my entire state. I do have to carry my orchestra now though since I'm usually the only one. You should definitely keep getting involved in string orchestra!

People, next level is an understatement. The skills this man demonstrates are beyond culinary expertise and I'd imagine anyone who wants to excel in this craft would take his courses.
His smile and the concentration on his face, you can tell he loves his work and is passionate about it. That is what matters most about art. It is beautiful.
This just never gets old. The artistry, the detail, the imagination, the talent, the sheer joy of working with chocolate. Incredible. Superb!
This man can be the person who makes almost anything with chocolate.
Amaury CAN MAKE ANYTHING out of chocolate! There’s no question; his creativity and talents are unmatched! Plus he appears to have the best job satisfaction ever, so he’ll likely continue to do what he loves, building even more amazing chocolate creations for us to behold as time goes by. Or if we’re lucky enough to travel to Las Vegas, we might get the opportunity try one of his mouthwatering desserts as long as he decides to call Vegas his home.
Amaury, my husband and I LOVE you and your videos, especially the recent releases with your commentary. Thank you for the extra effort. And this cello is absolutely divine; it looks like wood. Your work was so detailed and beautifully crafted that my jaw hung open the entire time. Good thing I was watching it alone! I don't play cello (violin instead) and this guy absolutely killed it. It looks like a professional instrument! And not gonna lie, I feel like the build process and putting together isn't that far off from an actual wooden cello. Wild
The sheer genius of Amaury is mind-boggling. There are hours of difficult planning and execution demanded into the creation of this "perfect" final product; however, the huge smile on his face is indication that this was another "fun" activity for him. He is truly an inspiring master at his culinary craft!

As someone who plays violin and is with a cellist every time I’m with the orchestra, I’d honestly say this is the most cello-looking cello I’ve ever seen. Sure, it’s not built EXACTLY like a cello, you know, sound posts and the way the neck connects to the shoulders and stuff, but it looks exactly like a cello from the outside.

What do you do with them after your done, do you sell them, give them as gifts, keep them as decor??
